I'm no boxer or hardman but I badly tore my ankle ligaments playing football. Managed to walk across to the car park and drive home (even went the shops to pick some bits up on the way). Got myself to hospital the next morning for xrays etc and full recovery took just over 12 months. So with that severity in mind - explain to me how without even twisting his ankle in any way and then not standing to test his ankle out have they deemed him as wheelchair bound and pushed him out of the place? 😂
@devonrevell185720 күн бұрын
He grabbed Liam, Liam started walking towards him Ben looked up and prepared to flip them both which is exactly what happened he even wrapped his legs around Liams when pulling them over. His ankle/foot touched nothing. He was nervous and impulsively made possibly one of the biggest mistakes he could do in his career. The lack of respect for the sport, himself and his opponent speaks volumes. I was routing for Ben as I have ADHD myself however, his attitude is terrible… something that should have been worked on when doing this sport that’s what it teaches, discipline, self belief, respect etc. His ego is too big or he is pretending and doesn’t believe as much as portrayed because anyone who can not see that he did that to himself I wouldn’t choose to associate with as the evidence was right in our face, we are capable of calling what we saw. To then punch a wall (I also tore my ligaments when playing volleyball) and I tried to stand up and fell because of the pain, he didn’t once show courage etc he lay there and said no twice. That’s not a champion mindset, in fact that’s not even a fighting mindset.

I really like Whitaker (his fights are truly entertaining), but in this fight he seemed a bit too overwhelmed. Cameron is able to counter his attacks and read him with great skill, with the ability to disrupt Whitaker's rhythm, which left Whitaker visibly frustrated and out of breath. But, when looking at Whitaker's eyes before the backward tumble (his eyes roll up a second before the fall) which makes him look like he was anticipating the tumble or planning it. Hopefully that's just a read error from my part. I believe that he was well studied by Cameron & his team, and they found flaws & loopholes in his footing, counters and ducking patterns & Cameron was able to dominate him by capitalising on these key findings. That said, if/when they fight again Whitaker will have to conjure up an extremely versatile & unpredictable style, increase his endurance levels and brute power.. also his ability to take heavy punches to win the bout.

He’s a good fighter and likely is British level nothing wrong with that. But world level no. I think the tide was turning and let’s just say he strategically used this to fight another day…. Problem with modern boxing most promoters don’t either know or don’t want to build a prospect they wanna cash in fast but it’s short sighted. Warren knows how to build a fighter it’s tried and tested he invests won’t be rushed and has built more world champions from scratch than all other UK promoters combined. Frazier was different he’s 33, it’s kind of now or never roll the dice. But Whittaker fed half a dozen puddings then taken 2 steps up against an experienced underrated British level opponent who hasn’t turned up for a payday the same guy who lost a split to Arthur who took Bivol the long route. That Saudi money is scrambling brains
