You are right-on! I have a American Staffy (so called in Australia) and am really confused. Is she also a bull terrier? Like you said, this breed is terribly energetic, intelligent, trainable though with a mind of their own. My girl is now 10 months old and was socialised right when I got her at 3 months old. She thinks everyone and every dog is a potential playmate!!! Could you offer me some advise? I have to walk her twice daily (We live in a unit) to exercise her and trust me, it can be harrowing when she gets excited seeing someone or dog she knows. Please help.

If your girl is an American Staffy, my understanding is that makes her an American Staffordshire Terrier aka an Amstaff which is a bull breed type (although not written in the name!).
