The Truth About Chaos Chao

Please read this after you watch the video, just to clear up any confusion.
Generally speaking, giving your chao chaos drives and extra animals won't throw your efforts for making a Chaos Chao out the window. As seen here the chao still turned into a Chaos Chao.
I want to make it clear that SOME animals/chaos drives are okay, but not to the extent of influencing the chao to become a particular type (like what you saw with the otters spammed onto the chao).
I would also like the stress the importance of happiness that is another hidden requirement for Chaos Chao, as you saw me abusing the chao, the chao didn't turn into a Chaos Chao as its happiness was too low, despite given all animals and being reincarnated twice.
To put the happiness level more into context with other people complaining that their chao didn't turn Chaos, it was possibly because the chao's swim stat was far too low (under 0099 points). Leaving a chao drowning decreases happiness, which the happiness level didn't become high enough for them to evolve into these immortal beings. One way to prevent this from becoming an issue is to have the chao's swim points greater than 1000 before it reincarnates.
If you do need to increase your soon-to-be Chaos Chao's swim, don't be afraid to give the chao a few extra swim animals (but not too much) or feed them stat-raising fruit just to get some levels up. Chao can eat any fruit and it won't disrupt the Chaos Chao process.

MAKING A CHAOS CHAO:
For those unsure, here's the steps to make one:
1) Have the Chao reincarnate two or more times
2) While the Chao is a child (unevolved), give at least one of every animal to the Chao (using a checklist is a good idea).
3) Make sure the Chao has a happiness value at or greater than 51 (this value increases everytime a heart appears over the Chao's head)
4) Make sure the Chao is on the evolution pathway of a None type (the type that isn't Power, Run, Fly or Swim).
5) Give the Chao any alignment (neutral, hero or dark) of your choice.
If all these requirements are met, your Chao will evolve into a Chaos Chao.

Stand a distance away from the Chao, far enough so that they don't automatically get the item. Place down the item directly in front of the Chao and you should be able to keep reusing the item.

This is so weird.. the abuse from the dark side turned him into a Hero Chao and all the extra animals from Shadow made him become a Dark Chao, but... you'd expect him to still turn into a Chaos Chao, except the Angel or Devil kind o_O

MauveTrees I know that, but my neutral chaos chao and hero chaos chao kept the flame after they evolved; but after you give it an animal that makes the flame disappear, it's gone forever. I've tried giving them half fishes to see if they would get the flame again after evolution but it didn't work they have to evolve while having the flame.

Stuff to check for a soon-to-be Chaos Chao: 1: The Chao has reincarnated two or more times (aka 'transformed', you can check with the Chao Doc for this) 2: The Chao is a baby when you give all 21 animals (checklist can help!) 3: Happiness, happiness, happiness!! This is VERY important, pet and feed your Chao heaps, this is what likely throws people off even when they do everything else right. Hope this helps :)

Chaos Chao are a unique type of Chao, as they are immortal and never change their appearance (so they won't get animal parts). This type loosely resembles Chaos Zero (the blue watery creature), and there's a Hero, Dark and Neutral version of Chaos Chao. They're really cool looking! However they can be tricky to get, the requirements are in the description.

This video was solely to educate chao breeders the false rumours that surround Chaos Chao and to help them understand any troubleshooting they may have come across in the process. For such a video I would never hoax it, and even if you don't believe what I'm saying then simply try to make a Chaos Chao yourself and give it a chaos drive or two before evolution. Keep its happiness levels high and tell me what happens.

Thanks mate :) glad to be of assistance Getting the right alignment can get kinda finicky sometimes with the different versions in SA1 and SA2. I always judge by how they look and where their emote ball colour appears on the alignment spectrum, so you know what type they're becoming.

I want to evolve it at level 99 before it becomes a chaos but I don't want to waste rings on chao fruit- so are multiple of the same animals allowed provided that I make the chao's trait follow the normal path when I am done??

I have a question bothering me and i need a little help, is there anyway that a Chaos' stat for intelligence and luck can have its *grades* improved so levelling them up gives more points? All i know is how to raise their int' and lucks levels but not their grades, which are numeric values according to the chao editor. I know that i can get a swim grade from an A to an S, but what about luck from a 2 to a 3? Secondly, how high can it go before it hits a cap or something? 🤔👍

It helps to pet the Chao with both sides to keep it neutral. When you hand feed and pick up the Chao (or just anything that makes the heart appear), alignment will change. So try to have Hero and Dark characters looking after the Chao as equally as possible. Hero and Dark gardens do slightly influence the Chao's alignment too, so be careful with that as well.

I have a question about step number two. When you’re giving the chao one of every animal, does it matter during which evolution period this is as a child? (Never evolved, first evolution, second evolution?) I heard that once it evolves two times, then you need to give it one of every animal. Also one more thing. Consider other factors then: Has the Chao reincarnated (aka transformed) at least twice? Is happiness too low? (your Chao will evolve into a Normal type otherwise) Was there too much stat influence? (Chao evolved into a fly, run, power or swim type?)

If a Chao detests any character, due to negligence and abuse given by that character, you may have quite a bit of work to do. Happiness can still be given from all characters, including the ones a Chao may hate. If you want to keep that Chao as a Hero alignment, spoiling it with Hero characters may help, but you'll need to do it a LOT Each time you abuse a Chao, happiness decreases by -3 or -5 (from throwing or hitting respectively), and increases by +1 every time a heart appears.

@neduardo10 Did you watch the entire video? Chaos Drives don't prevent your Chao from becoming Chaos Chao, it is excessive stat influence that does that. Keeping your Chao towards the None/Stamina evolution is a requirement for making Chaos Chao.

For Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, does the chao's stamina grade increase upon turning into a chaos chao? What I am asking this for is because I wish for a specific Grade (A, A, A, A, A) to be the final grade stats for my chao. (Not A, A, A, A, S,). I know that if he changes into a Neutral, Hero or Dark chao with no special ability such as swimming or power, his stamina stamina grade will go up one grade level, but will this happen upon turning into a chaos chao?

@MysticSonic007 The flame ball has the tendency to be removed once you give any Animals or Chaos Drives to them. As long as you treat the Chao equally with both Hero and Dark (with both petting and items), getting Neutral alignments shouldn't be too much of an issue.

It doesn't really impact how the Chao feels, once they have evolved. Dark Garden gives some dark alignment to unevolved Chao, while Hero garden gives a little bit of Hero alignment to unevolved Chao.

ok it turned into a normal type again the levels were at 3,3,3,3,5 and the stamina was the highrst stat levels points in total is their something l'm not doing right or did it not work because lhear rumors that even if youve done everything correctly for a chaos chao their is a 3-7% it wont work but l dont think thats true. have you got any suggestions before the chao reincarnates, l reset it and know l'm not sure what to do.

I know this video is old, but to clear up some confusion, will it become a Chaos Light Chao or a Devil Chaos Chao if aligned as Hero or Dark, respectively?

Essentially! The Hero Chaos Chao is the one with the long pink ears, the 'Light' Chaos Chao is the Neutral one.

@MissMysterics Stats do indeed need to be balaced to go into the None (aka Stamina and Normal) type to become a Chaos Chao. I think it's been tested a few times that a certain group or one of the animals are not given to the chao, but they failed to become Chaos Chao.

do you know anything about chaos that appear to be glowing? they don't appear to be shiny though. i mated my shiny green chao with my normal chao that came from the egg that was originally in the garden. the chao that came out looked like a normal blue chao with yellow hands and tip of the head and such, but it was very bright. when i petted it dark, it turned into an odd green color and when i petted it into a hero, it was a very bright white color. is this just a shiny normal chao?

what if you cant find ALL of the animals to give to your chao? would i have to keep looking until i do find them all?

Do you have to raise you chao to 99 in all its stat so it can go to its second reincarnation? because that what happened to my(evantually it died what a waste)

level 99 isn't exactly required, it takes a minimum of 40 chaos drives of one colour, or 20 animals from one group to max out the influence of one stat. Of course that influence shifts around if you're planning on raising every stat to 99. I made a video about evolution here: /watch?v=1uWDijgJpDc& Perhaps that may help you out

My chao has turned into a hero power chao. his stats are over 300 points except fly and stamina. Should I give him more fly types and food?
