Well thought out video Sabado! I retired at 56, now 58. My wife has 19 more working years left. I've never been bored one day. I'm busy all day long. I miss the rat race sometimes. (Maybe 2 minutes a week. lol) I'm thankful I could retire early. If your life span is 76 and your health span is 66.1, I figured I better get busy enjoying my last decade...

Very good insight into your journey one year in. Thank you for sharing. Any consideration to working part-time? Slightly off-topic and if you don’t mind me asking, what did you guys do for healthcare? ACA seems to be what most early retirees use, but it can limit pre-tax spending and tax planning opportunities (i.e. Roth conversions) early in retirement. Enjoying your perspective so please continue to “do what you do”😎.

Great questions. Yes, I have given some consideration to working part time, but not sure what i would want to do. Perhaps once I finish the Master Gardener Program, I may consider working at a local nursery. Regarding healthcare, the ACA seems to be a popular option. We are part of a group plan offered to retirees by a previous employer. Thanks for the comment.

Well said! I retired at age 62, and I have people who are not happy for me, as well. I am always confused by their attitude, but I am not allowing them to have any effect on my plans.

Thanks for the comment. I guess it goes to show how much others dislike their jobs and resent the fact that someone was able to escape. Seems to stir up jealousy.
