I do think the extra details that didn't get mentioned are fun :D Like Azlanti to Aboleth was basically just a grand social experiment. The reason Aboleth wanted to wipe them out was that Azlanti started to realize they were being subtly manipulated by puppet masters and aboleths discovered that Azlanti were nearly successful in creating weapon of mass destruction to ensure they remain superior, so Aboleths decided to cut the experiment in explosive fashion. Which isn't too far off for what Aboleths did to their homeworlds when their slaves revolted(aka they abandoned planet and made sure it would blow up afterwards. Sidenote, this is why aboleths practice the puppet master thing nowadays, they are trying to perfect their control of thralls to prevent revolts). Azlanti's hubris was part of their unmaking yeah, but what makes it delicious irony is that there are advanced magical civizations on golarion other than Azlanti that were noteworthy contenders to them, so Azlanti's pride at their own superioty over them was because they gotten lot of help not of their own making where their rivals had come to those achievements on their own.

I love the Aboleth. When I run the first part of the adventure path Against the Aeon Throne I remember that I changed the crashed, ancient starship to be an Aboleth starship with only one "living" Aboleth infected with SCP-610 (or somehting like that) albeit there ended up not being a boss fight due to a good scouting roll on the party side and they decided to leave the starship fast.

I really liked them as a race concept.

@@TheMapleTable Yeah, I hope we get stats al least as a monster in a future Alien Archive to use them in Starfinder but they would be a cool large-sized acuatic playable (there isn't a playable like that yet, right?).

Nar-Voth is not the dwarves kingdom but rather the uppermost layer of the Darklands, a mere two thousand feet under the surface. If we go deeper the Darklands is followed by Sekamina, the domain of the Drow, then Orv.

I will argue that it was more of fear than hubris. The inhuman minds behind the scenes merely lost control. The students surpassed their supposed masters and it was about to become common knowledge about the true nature of their masters. They certainly didn't expect for Azlant to master runes and uncover their tendrils. To them it must have seemed like their experiment was about to be homeworld 2.0.
