I’ve met Lorraine Warren a few times as she would go to our local schools and do a Q&A. I believe she definitely had psychic gifts. She was a very sweet woman, through and through. Her daughter, Judy, is still local and helps with animals in need. I always see her popping up in our CT rescue groups willing to donate to whatever animal in need. Another very sweet soul. As for what Ed and Lorraine did while they were doing their paranormal things, I don’t know. I can say from meeting Lorraine multiple times, she had great energy and a good aura. As for their son in law, Judy’s husband, Tony Spera. Not a fan. I understand with his pushing their legacy has been immortalized with movies and such, but I believe he saw nothing but dollar signs from the start. When Lorraine became extremely elderly yet still doing her shows, he would speak over her every chance he could. She had that frail “old lady” voice. She would try telling her stories on things she’s seen, felt, etc. and he would speak as if he was there. It was disgusting to say the least. A lot of us CT people NOT a fan of that man.
@StMichaelWarrior5 ай бұрын
You are 100% correct. Tony took over the show, he even went as far as not allowing Lorraine to take questions and at the end of every lecture when People would go up to meet Lorraine or have her sign a book, the last one I was present at Tony stopped a line of 10 people at 2, and grabbed Lorraine and walked her back stage, announced "shows over" we are leaving. Tony has been a fame seeker since the early days doing local access cable. Hes an ego maniac. I spent many times at the house in Monroe with Lorraine and Fr. Bob in the basement museum and hearing her stories about Ed, Einstein her Rooster and so many other things. I still have her number saved on my cell. She was genuinely caring. I miss her.
@chrisyravenconlin5 ай бұрын
I also have nothing good to say about Tony. If you aren’t super Catholic, super old school traditional, super American patriot (I’m Canadian), you are his enemy apparently. But I’ve only heard good things about Lorraine as a person, that she was so kind.

A friend and myself saw an ad that the Warrens had in the paper back in the 80s and we went to their home. Lorraine was a bit shocked as she thought she had canceled the ad. She still invited us in and we sat and all chatted for over an hour. There were Bibles open all over their home. She was very sweet and down to earth. She said Ed was in the shed out back that held Annabel and the other items they were given from other ppl. Apparently the ad was to find people to ghost hunt with them. Yeah, I passed on that. Lol

Fame and money and power corrupt and reveal people. It gets really dark cause some of it was involving kids and people call the Warrens saints. So doing "both sides" is how many have to present things to keep from being cast out of the community. Kiss the ring and assure that only the good is real cause good vibes only toxic positivity runs rampant. Sorry to rant and ramble, learning the truth of them from victims who weren't cut in on the profits really soured them and their legacy for me and the community was a passion of mine.

I believe that they did have real experiences but not everything was paranormal. Just like you do with Kris, Sam, and Colby you are able to debunk certain things. Unfortunately they did not have the same technology that we do now so they believed things that could be debunked now were real spooky events. I don't hate them. I think that if they were active in their quest now it would be a whole different story. However, all that being said, what Ed did was disgusting. Everything I have heard and seen about people meeting Lorraine say that she is so very sweet. I think Ed's influence on her brought her into a more negative light. An abusive partner has control that people don't realize. I was in an extremely abusive relationship for years that I was lucky to be able to escape but in the 70's I would have been stuck because of laws. I feel empathy for Lorraine. I think she survived the best she could.

I believe their son in law, Tony Spera, took possession of most of it, as well as leadership of NESPR (or whatever remains of it, anyway.)

Celina please don’t tell me you didn’t do your research. The Lutz family NEVER said it was made up. They only said that the movie dramatized and hyped up the hauntings. I even met one of the boys. He even said (as an adult) that things did absolutely happen , just not as drastic in the movie. Please make sure you research all angles before defaming anyone.

I agree. Amityville is often misrepresented. Also Stephen Kaplan went public AFTER he was asked not to so he was released. William Weber was more interested in making money than helping his client. So two naysayers had ulterior motives for claiming it a hoax.

Ed Warren also claimed to be a demonologist, but he was self taught and never went to school of anything .

While I thinks the Warrens were frauds, one does not need to go to school to be an expert or be well informed and edu ated on something. Degrees are a useless joke and folks need to learn this. Experience and self-teacgung are far better in most things. Some things, lime comp!ex medical things, do need more education but can be done by someone with more experience. Like how most jobs used to be taught. However, med schools are greatly funded by pharma so........I ha e had doctors Google things with me right there.

Thank you you're the only other person that said something about this besides me that I read in the comments he said he was a demonologist and said that he went and he learned all of this and the Catholic places or whatever. Ed and Lorraine Warren literally would go to someone's house and say hey your house is haunted we want to draw or paint a picture of it and then that's how they would make money and that's how the scheme and scams started 😮😮😮😮

I’ve always been obsessed with the cases of Ed and Loraine Warren but ofc I knew they were over exaggerated however I still have hope that they were honest about some stuff that happened but no matter if they’re all fake cases they made up for money or if they’re real to an extent there’s no arguing the Warrens paved a way for a lot of paranormal investigators today and they definitely knew what they were doing they made world famous books that then became world famous movies they know how to scare the bajesus out of ppl for sure 😭 amazing video as always Celina ! I love this style of video and I love that Adam is in the background cracking jokes ! ❣️

Personally speaking, I believe that some of what they've said they experienced did happen, not all mind you, but some. Even with my own experiences I've tried keeping a salt lick's worth of doubt to it, not that it's helped. But, they were one of the groups of people that got the paranormal into popular media and public consideration, so I can't hate them completely. Or doubt that all of their abilities were fabricated. Like everything, the public image is a mix of fact and fiction after all

I kind of want to submit to a writer about my childhood. Several of our neighbors had experiences and we had to get our house blessed. I do believe there is evil out there, it took forever to get my parents to listen to me that something was in our home. Yet again I was 5 when it started and it got worse until 16yrs of age. Mind you multiple neighbors and even my grandmother who lives behind us all told us about their similar experiences. The crazy part is it took YEARS for neighbors to just bring it up though its been happening for years. Either something in the water or we all encountered something demonic.

Yes they may have been fakes but I still don't feel right talking ill of the dead, especially when they can't stick up for themselves. Now don't get me wrong I'm not pro Ed and Lorraine I am just pro kindness and love and feel like all of this has been dragged out for far too long. Time to let it go especially since they're both deceased now.
@alexstahlak74822 ай бұрын
Lorraine definitely had the gift. My mom lived in Connecticut, unknowingly bartending at a restaurant Lorraine was a regular at. One day at work Lorraine pulled my mother aside and told her David, my deceased brother, watched over her. Believe what you may but I’d like to think Lorraine was being genuine.

Wait wait wait. Your friends Sam and Colby made a huge claim that they heard and saw ghost activity at the Conjuring house last year. They interviewed the kids that were there during the Warrens visit. Said it was all very real. This is all really interesting, Kris told me to go watch it. Sam and Colby made a huge claim like it was gonna break the internet.. and now You’re making second guess every thing, was that real or fake? Things that make you go hmmmmmmm…

There's actually different types of hauntings! Depending on what they saw, (I'm a fan of theirs but haven't watched many videos recently so I honestly don't know what you're talking about haha) it might've just been the spirit of somebody doing something that they've always done. This is a really common type of haunting is called residual, which means it's just the energy of what's left still acting essentially. These won't even interact with you, or act like it's doing something wrong. It's like looking back into the past at what was happening!! If it was a different type, then it'd be a different story hahah but residual hauntings aren't anything to be scared of, so if it was that, they could've just been very lucky to catch it! It can be creepy because it's not "really there" but it's still really cool.
@Athena-ng5iw4 ай бұрын
Because The Conjuring House isn't actually directly related to Ed and Lorraine. If anything, they only made the haunting worse, they didn't fix it like it says in the movies. The property had been haunted before them and is still haunted after them. So yeah, they only made some good money out of it, but they didn't help the family.
@jenzpad4 ай бұрын
@@Athena-ng5iw I don’t know if the Conjuring house is “fixable” .. I’m not saying the Warrens were truthful about everything they claim. If the Warrens are full of 💩…Are they all fakes? Colby and Sam interviewed the only living witness Dorathy. She claims everything the Warrens said happened. Hours of content and huge claims about this house, it wasn’t only the Warrens. I watched this and was like soooo the Warrens are doing for💰, but your friends aren’t? 😵💫🙃 Whose experience was real? Just made me go hmmm
