*Just a quick note, I will definitely try the foundation with a damp sponge next, as that's my preferred way to apply foundation. The only reason I didn't in this video is because I wanted to try their new face brush. I would also suggest applying the blushes to your hand first and then dipping a brush or damp sponge into it before applying to your face. That's what I normally do and it works best for me. Again, I only applied them directly to my face because that's what elf was recommending in the directions (but I don't think that's the best way).*

I recently purchased the Wet N Wild tinted hydrator skin veil, have heard many say they love it and they are correct. It is wonderful, it is definitely light coverage but the finish on my 71 year old skin is wonderful.

The CC Cream packaging reminded me of the Lancôme Skin Feels Good Skin Tint, I was hoping it was a nice, affordable comparison. I love the Heimish BB Cream, it has become my go to for my lazy days when I want something on my skin that isn't foundation or too full coverage on the skin. The liquid blushes look good, I like that they aren't too pigmented, and easy to blend.

When I use my rare beauty liquid blush I put a drop on my hand, swirl out on my brush, then apply to cheeks. That way I can control what I get. That might help.

I mentioned at the end of the video that I was planning to put them on my hand first next time. That's what I usually do, but for this video I was applying them the way elf suggested in their directions. :)

Not saying for sure, but sometimes if I use a brush with a thicker foundation, it will sit on top of my skin. If I go back over it with a damp sponge, it helps it sink in. 🤷‍♂️

C’mon elf, you’re killin me! Although you might be able to salvage the CC cream by using an eye primer on your nose or anywhere it goes on patchy. I’ve tried that and it’s a good tip.

Hey Jen! Love the video, but I don't think either product would work for me. Chemical sunscreens or blends are not something I trust on my skin, and liquid blushes are simply beyond my skill level. I like creams and powders, and I've got plenty of both. But what interests me are those brushes. I don't wash brushes nearly often enough - who does? - so I'd like to stock up on good, serviceable brushes for cream products. I wish Elf would bring back the Domed Stipple, or even the Small Stipple brush... You're looking lovely as ever! Thanks for the video, and Happy Whatever You Celebrate! I bought the Peach Perfect blush shade and found the formula, color, and applicator shape to be very similar to the Saie liquid blush in Peachy. Peach Perfect is a bit more neutral tho.

@@gisellespringerI’m medium tan and tried the shade berry well. It’s way too pigmented for me. Giving clown cheeks! I like blushes that show up but can be built up vs these that immediately made me look like I had a rash. So if you’re looking for pigment try that shade. Not sure how dark you are though - but if you’re tan or med-dark it might work

I knew it would be pertinent to see a review before buying the foundation. The last two neutral foundations I got from them leaned very orange and inexpensive or not, it’s still money lost. I already bought four blushes so I’m glad to see they’re manageable. I think they need to work on their shades because a lot of them leaned orange-peachy. I didn’t bother trying the first Elf CC Cream because the IT cosmetics one it was duping looks HORRIBLE on me. It looked cakey, dry, mask-like…no matter how I applied it or what type of primer I used. I remember being just flabbergasted at how bad it was for me 😂 So I’ll probably pass on this iteration, but the blushes look great!!

120N in the original Camo CC Cream is my PERFECT shade. Unfortunately, the original Camo CC Cream started breaking up on my face in a matter of 1-2 hours (I have normal-oily, acne-prone skin with my t-zone being the oilest part of my face). I was really hoping they had fixed those issues with this new formula, but alas it seems that they have not. I will stick with the Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator because that is gorgeous! The blushes definitely show some promise. I really like Suave Mauve and PInky Promise for everyday. Comin' In Hot Pink and Coral Crush are such fun shades for an extra pop!

Those liquid blushes look really nice on you. Definitely some are more pigmented than others! I wish they were the same pigmentation. I worked with the glow wands and I think I have them figured out lol. Also agree with rare beauty… beautiful colors but I waaay over did it the first few times 😂😂😂 I’ve figured those out too.

The first elf CC cream I HATED. Thank you for trying this out, but it's a no go for me. On a side note I'm not sure how they're mixing chemical sunscreen with physical sunscreen because that doesn't work when you apply them separately. You have to apply the sunscreen that matches the make up of your foundation. Either oil-based or water-based. Those blushes do intrigue me however, every single color looks great on you! I think I would start with the mauve

Hi, Jen! Thanks so much for the 411 on the new ELF blushes. I love the colours, and I think I can wear most of them. I do like the ELF original formula CC cream. It just seems to work well with my skin, so I think I'll try the new one, too. I'm just not that fond of regular foundation anymore, especially full coverage. THAT makes me look like I'm wearing a mask, and it's so heavy. I'd rather just wear light to medium formulas. With combination skin, it feels more comfortable. My skin is drier in winter and oiler in summer. Of course, I broke out until I was 40 years old! I know, insane, isn't it? Just a thought: have you fonsidered trying the new ELF CC cream over face primer? Maybe it would work better that way. I like the ELF liquid putty primer. It doesn't feel sticky, and my makeup seems to adhere pretty well to it. Oh, a quick follow up. I've been using the ColourPop brow pen as I'd mentioned, and it looks FANTASTIC! It really looks natural, so I can thicken up my brows from the stupid overplucking I did in the 90s. Remember that?🙄 But I'm using Soft Brown, and it blends in perfectly with my dark brows. I hope you get to try it, and I hope it works out for you! You'll have to let me know. BTW, I believe it's less expensive than the NYX Lift and Snatch.(yay!) I hope you and your family have a great Christmas. Not sure yet if we're going to have snow; it's certainly cold enough!🥶

The camo concealer didn’t work for me back in the day and the hydrating camo concealer with my dry skin was just as dry to me. So I’m not surprised that this cc cream isn’t that hydrating unfortunately 😢

I didn't like the original Camo CC Cream. I actually returned it b/c I really didn't work for me. I love the looks of the blushes. I've never been a big cream/liquid blush, bronzer, etc. user but as I get older I am enjoying them more and more especially in the winter. My skin isn't particularly dry (or oily) but it seams to need a little more moisture in the winter.

Hey Jen Pooh!!! 1:11 so beautiful and I love your home decor. 1:42 I still have my original Cc cream. I’m thinking about going off that. I got the correct shade match last time… fingers crossed 🤞 they didn’t change the shades ( which they sometimes do ) 4:08 I have dry skin during the Fall & Winter. I wore the original for the Summer ( When we sweat 🤣🤣 ) Midwest weather be like… it was perfect. The original e.l.f CC Camo Cream is a holy grail for me and I was tempted to try this one, but the reviews so far have been very “meh.” I’m fairly oily anyway, so I don’t absolutely need hydration. I actually ordered the new foundation asap since I'd always wished it was more hydrating. Same color as the regular CC creams I already have, BUT I didn't bother with the blush yet. I was upset the duochrome eyeshadows have been out of stock... i got some new lip stuff, but i looked at all the blushes i have, and couldnt bring myself to add to the collection... i just have so many products, both make-up and skin care that I can barely justify buying additional products unless i start a beauty channel. 😂😂

I skipped on the original ELF Camo CC cream and I think I’ll skip on this one too. I have normal to dry skin and would probably have the same results that you did with it clinging to dry patches and accentuating texture and lines. The blushes tho!! GAH! Those are gorgeous! I have already added them to my ever growing make up list 😂. Thank you for trying them all on for us!! It was nice to see what they look like on the skin 😊 I also agree with your suggestion about applying to the back of the hand first and then picking up with a sponge or brush 👍 I also agree about the halo wands. I like the original Elf CC Cream for the summer with a sponge and the It Cosmetics Glow foundation you are referring to was too much for my skin (it never set down enough for me to be able to get any kind of wear time out of it) so I am looking forward to trying out the new Elf Hydrating Camo CC, then again I’m 28 so I know my skin is different than yours. That’s ok. I’m glad we can all benefit from the information!

I’ve tried a few things from Elf but the brand is just not for me. I did try the radiant camo concealer and did not like it at all. I’ve tried the blushes and bronzers as well and again, just didn’t like them. However, always appreciate your content. Happy Holidays 💚❤️

I am with you. The only elf product I like is the elf wow brow. Otherwise, nothing has really worked for me

I wear the rare beauty liquid blush all the time. I put a dot on the top of my hand and swirl a stipple brush on it. For a bit of a different look I’ll dot in in my leftover concealer I use under my eyes.

I was also confused about the shades. I was looking at 120N and 205N. Im about your color, and if 120N is a little light for u, I'm going with the 205N. 🙌

I think I will try the blushes and brushes. The lightest peach color blush looks like work when the next color up goes on more easily and seems like the same color without the work. That foundation looks like a bust tho if primer is used might be different but off the bat did not do you chin any favors. WHAT we do without you Jen!!!

I really hate this confusion around the color mauve. It's supposed to be a cool muted purple, but I've seen such a huge range of colors all claiming to be mauve. This one has to be one of the worst lol it's wayyyyyyyyyyy too warm to be considered mauve
