Makes me feel sad too see the old house being demolished. It was part of the Elvis story and of musical history.

It's a shame that people don't care about historical places like this AND Circle G ranch!! These places are a part of history and there will never be another Elvis Presley! We as fans,NEED to help preserve these places!

I wish it was possible to meet Mr. Oxley and see the place. God bless him and his team for doing what they did!

I want the toilet. It's a throne fit enough for a King. I bet someone has it. Lol. Saw him at the Las Vegas Hilton in 1973. I'm 62 now. My mother brought me. She actually knew Tom Parker and was in two films about the Colonel. She knew him in Vegas and she worked at the Humane society in Tampa. That's where the Documentaries were filmed. And at the Humane society there's a little pet cemetery 🪦 🐶🐕 so he could make a few more bucks. I've seen them all play... even Paul McCartney.... nothing came close to Elvis. So sad.

It is very sad to see this historic building and property being demolished even though the materials are being preserved. I believe the property should have been restored to it's former state and fully preserved as a historic property rather than dismantling the building and trying to rebuild it at another location. The thought of the property being used for a car wash is sickening.

The problem is Tennessee is so full of Norco 10 s that their destruction of history doesn't bother them.....

I have appreciated many singers over the years, but--for me--Elvis had the greatest singing voice I've ever heard.

It's wild that there was a branch shaped like a hand shaped like the love emblem that Elvis used to use for his fans.

Amazing wow their are some Magnificent people in this world. How politicians in Tenn. had not already mark Col. home as a Historical Landmark is UNBELIEVABLE.

Elvis Presley Had The Life That Most Entertainers Would Love To Have! Elvis Presley’s Group of Guys Were His Family and These Guys Cared about Him …… At Least On The Surface! Elvis Was Running Short of Money and His Dad Suggested That He Fire or Lay Off Most Of The Guys! So, Many of Them Turned Against Elvis and Some Wrote Books While Others Went on Talk Shows! These Guys Were With Elvis For So Many Years That Most Were Lost Without Elvis and His Money! Elvis Knew that He Was Leaving The Scene Soon So Being Into Numerology He Made Plans For His Exit! Then He Took The Trip! He Said, Enough Is Enough and He Was Tired of Being Used Like A Doormat By People Who Claimed They Were His Friends! So, he Told Them All Goodbye and Took The Trip!

Tennessee officials wouldn't allow it and Philip Fulmer paid a Memphis TN attorney to get the car wash in and house gone.....

A fuckin carwash??? Smh. Tear down a piece of history. An historical landmark for a fuckin carwash!!! That house could've been moved in one large piece or split in two like a double wide. If they didn't have men in Tennessee that were capable of such a thing. Us Texas boys could have got it done. This pisses me right the fuk off!!! Shame on all of them that voted yes for a stupid carwash. 😡

Maybe the video's posters are as sick as I am of Parker being vilified as "the-terrestial-demon-who-ruined-Elvis" time and time again. We've been handed a reductionist simplification of complicated issues.
