I haven't fished a lizard forever Steve. I used to fish them on a split shot rig in AZ and had good success. I like the setup you talked about. Now if I can only find those lizards I bought a long time ago! 😊😊👍

Yes! The elaztech baits are great for the Carolina rig. 👍 Another one that’s been working good is the 6th sense panorama because it’s so thin, it floats down slow like a dying fish.

I've been thinking about tossin a lizard lately as I see dozens roaming the banks lately around my home waters. I think I'll go right now and try a small C-rig. The skunk grass down here deters many fishermen from even trying the shallows. Thanks for the tip !!!

I still like throwing a Mojo rig. Super finesse comes through most vegetation because you're using a cylindrical pencil type weight and you can move the weight up and down to adjust the amount of line to your bait. Especially now with elastec baits. It's a killer combination.

Wondering what you all think about skin hooking the elaztech baits, I tried them a couple times and they sort of stick to the hook point, the material is strong and unforgiving which doesn't allow the hook and point to come free as easily as with regular/traditional soft plastics. They also adhere to the shank so even when the hook point does become unburied, the bait doesn't move away from the hook point on the shank which gives the hook point more freedom. On bites, my hook up percentage was not nearly as good as with regular plastics. The buoyancy is great. Am I crazy?

Sorta, but most often the Mojo rig is considered to use a split shot weight, so even lighter.

Super similar for sure. I have better luck with the slightly bigger worm weight than the split shots on the mojo, but that mojo rig is a great one.
