FYI, the fish in the video is not a juvenile steelhead. It’s a juvenile chinook salmon.

It’s actually a juvenile wild rainbow lol

You heard it folks. Stay humble and stay located. Nothing fancy going on in Idaho. 👏🙌🔥❤️

A good work around is to bring your own trout in an aerated bucket, and then you can release him in a small pool and then wait a day and you should be able to catch them, but make sure you are down wind because now they no your sent from day before. Hope this helps for those folks coming up from California.

I'm from PA and visit Island Park every year. I took a break for a few years, and came back after Covid. Couldn't believe the people.

Thanks for the comment. There is some great fishing up there in PA. I haven't been there in many years but would love to again someday.

Wow my creek is just filled with chub, your lucky, u want to move onto a creek like that so I can only catch trout
@josephsorento15418 ай бұрын
You actually caught trout in Idaho- the reality is 0 they do not exist. There are only FallFish and Creek Chubs, oh you can find a pond or two with some small bluegills but I heard the SnakeHeads took over the fish population as well.......and I also know that the springs are all drying up and the water is over 75 degrees at the coolest temps. You'd have way better fishing in New Jersey in their pristine mountains than in Idaho...... oh and I also heard that the Elk are no where to be seen as well as the Mulleys and Antelope and the very very rare white tailed "Doe" ...🤣

That might as well be Washington state if you exclude the Yakima and Methow rivers, the rest of the state is nothing but coastal cutthroat trout in 3 to 7 inches.

Thanks for the comment. I don't think I have ever actually fishing in Washington but that would explain all the Washington tags in N. Idaho.

Lol, I lived this on my first trip to Montana, wasnt chasing steelhead but wanted some good sized trout. All i caught was dinks, but all i was fishing was dries. Finally on the last day i had some follow ups from big fish after i finaly tied on a beaded leech or wolly buggar. Ill be prepared next time lol.

Thanks for the comment! I think it is true everywhere that fishing is fishing. It can be epic or dead. When you have a few minutes check out my video "Boom and Bust."

The St. Joe is my home water and I would put it up against any river. We named our daughter Avery. If you are moving here from California- don’t. If you do move here, leave your woke politics behind you.
