Hello everyone, I apologize for the 2 weeks of absence. Since my hard disk is currently undergoing a repair, it may take months for it to be recovered. This means that Nepal series is actually over and only can be resumed once I have HDD fixed. In the meantime, here's a more in-depth video where I talk about travel, life, KZbin and personal freedom. I find that this type of video is more engaging because this is where we get to know each other. Let me know what you think of this video, write your comment and keep this community engaged. I love reading them and will try to always reply personally. A new series from Middle Eastern country will come soon, I hope you are as excited as I am. Don't forget to support this channel by not skipping the ads, it helps to sustain the channel to keep giving you free content :)

You should write a book on how to start blogging (vlogging). Your experienced is enough to cover that aspect. It may not be perfect but the trial and error would be lesser from someone who like to follow your path... I always love your volgs... there is something natural about you and travelling... ;-)

For some reason I feel that this is one of your most interesting video about your travels, yourself and your inner feelings. You gave a very personal and personalize opinions about what is around you. It reflects your sense of maturity too. I can feel that you are honest and truly in going about with your life and you speak deep from your heart. It is the "getaran" that is unexplainable. The world is waiting for you out there. Keep it up, syifa.

What an eloquent video! I'm a newer subscriber who only found your channel recently but have been binge watching your videos since. I love your chat and q+a videos and think this is one of the best i've found so far. I'm an older western white male who also started solo budget travel young (first solo trip at 16) and explored north america solo for about 10 years. Then work life for years with a job that allowed a lot of travel with a little time in Europe and Russia. That"s winding down as i enter retirement and i've taken up solo travel 10 years ago again to see some of Asia. Obviously as a white male it's been less difficult for me so it's been hard for me to reassure solo females to just go for it (or reassure their worried parents that they will be fine and to assist instead of discourage them). I will definite recommend your channel the next time the situation comes up. You cover the upsides and downsides and worth of solo travel for young people and especially females so well. I really hope you are able to keep up the excellent work you do as long as you can!

Coming from Australia but growing up as a muslim woman, I can understand your feelings of society sometimes holding us back. I've done lots of solo travel myself now, but I often hide it out of shame for what the community will say about me- my Australian coworkers and friends will encourage me but my muslim community will gossip about me and make me feel guilt. Its tough but like you said we have to be independent. .

Syifa, as an American (yes, white male too), I appreciate you going above the social norms and traveling on your own. I have been going back and forth to Indonesia for the past three years (I work in the Middle East). I have made a lot of Indonesian friends, and some I consider my family. I have even studied Bahasa Indonesia. I learned a long time ago, you can learn through books and classes (which I love school) or you can learn from experience. Even when I took Cultural Anthropology in college and studied different cultures, I realized that you will never truly understand a culture until you get immersed in it. I have an Indonesian friend (female), and she travels all over Asia by herself. She shares her issues with traveling as an Indonesian and as a female, so I understand your comments. I think you are doing a great job representing Asian females, even though I thought you were a bit of a princess at first (I was proven wrong). Semoga berhadil di perjalananmu!

Excellent talk! That since of family was what made me fall in love with Indonesia, everywhere I have been people are told how to life when your out of the norm people say your wrong, I got use to it; when you are from one place and go to another people are more forgiving which makes life a bit easier, coming home you find you don't really fit because people don't understand you. Color, yes the darker you are the less respect you get, my friend carrying a white baby was ask "where is the mom" assuming because she was dark skin she must be the made.

You just can't draw any conclusion by hearing from people or what media tells you. This does happen but in remote village areas and that too, not in all villages. If this is the thing then India our neighbouring country is known as rape capital of the world. Can we generalize that it happens in all streets n roads of India? No we cant, women live there too! How can you generalize this here just by listening few people. We are a population of over 200 Million with 51% female population. We had the first ever female Prime Minister among Islamic countries, first ever female army general among islamic countries even today they are serving. This is totally unfair and lack of research at your end.
