Thanks for the straight forward and honest update mate. No frills, no hype, no rubbish, not selling us stuff, just straight info. With prices included. This is how men's health stuff should be. Legend.

I went to the same place, same doc. Doctor Zafer. I don’t regret my decision one bit, we’re 5 months in now. Thank y’all for posting a year ago, I made my appointment the next week, and had my procedure done in July. I’d suggest it to anyone, no doubt.

Thanks guys. I have friends, nephews, family and gym buddies who wear hats everywhere, even at dinner, because they are embarrassed with their baldness. That is the best money you could have ever spent getting hair transplants. Wonderful for your mental health. I shaved my head.
@toeknee55652 ай бұрын
It's too bad they feel so ashamed about it. I shaved 4 years ago and honestly I don't think about it. I quite enjoy how maintenance free it is.

Great commentary, Trevor. I've never had a need for a transplant, but I've always been a bit cautious about travelling to Istanbul. Now, I'm putting it on my list of places to go. Looking forward to seeing how George's 2nd round turns out. Seems like it was totally worth it.

It's called MEDICAL TOURISM and it's a huge and growing trend. Right this moment I am in Molar City (Los Algodones, BC, Mexico) for a full mouth dental reconstruction (car wreck as a child, I'm old now). Cost in USA quoted $55K to $60K. Cost here $15K!!! This wipes out my Health Savings Account but it is worth it, like as in a life long dream come true worth it. It's absurd that we Americans (and folks from other "First World" nations!) must travel far to obtain affordable, state of the art medical care. But that's the way it is. I also have male pattern baldness and were I younger and financially able I'd be looking at hair transplant surgery too.

I Went To The Dentist A Few Months Ago To Have Two Teeth Implanted I Think Its Called, The Cost Is OVER $5,000.00 !! (California)
@Chris-lp3dm2 ай бұрын
@@jerryparisi2885 I am just today back from my final appointment at SANI Dental Group in Mexico. It is truly stunning to meet people from all over the USA, Canada and even some from overseas who go there for dental work. For my $14K budget I've had an excellent and completely satisfying result. They even covered the hotel costs. Most importantly of course, the teeth look fantastic. For the first time in my life I have the ability to eat or just smile without the risk of a denture moving around in my mouth. Leaving the USA for affordable health care is worth the effort of doing your own research and choosing carefully.

@Backroad_Junkie2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I sympathize with the feeling of losing your hair. I had it happen once. I got put on chemo, the doc said I'd lose all my hair, and soon after my second chemo treatment, it all fell out. Combing your hair was a trip, since most of your hair stayed on the comb. The saddest part about it, was I looked like Gollum. You don't know what your head looks like until it doesn't have any hair. The interesting part is it grew back in with less gray...

Thanks for being open about this. It can be a touchy subject, losing your hair sucks. Im in my mid-30’s and it’s starting to progress more rapidly now and I have long hair that I love dearly so it hurts. Do you have to shave your whole head to get it done? At this point it’d probly take several years to grow mine back cause like yours mine grows pretty slow where it still grows at all. Yours looks really good tho and I’m very envious. I can see the confidence difference for you and I love seeing you not even wear a hat sometimes, that must feel so liberating. I hate to say that I even wear a hat in the house most of the time at this point. Maybe someday I can get this done, you give me some hope that maybe there’s a way to fix it if I can get the funds and the nerve to do it. Thanks from another sufferer of male pattern baldness.

I used to have long, thick hair. Down to the lower part of my back. Then cut is to "normal" length 15-18 years ago, and the last 8-ish I've shaved my head. I still have a lot of hair, but the front part is way thinner than the rest. I could probably pull it all backwards and hide it.... but eh... My wife prefers me bald, so... I don't care if I shave or not. I do sometimes miss my long hair, but doubt it would look as good as it did back then :)

Bald is beautiful! I know it's a complex situation, but most people have something about their body that they hate, that other people don't even notice even though it's plainly visible. The healthieist thing is to learn to accept it and realize that the people who mean the most are the ones that don't just ignore imperfections but like us just the way we are. That said, I wish you the best.

Trevor, I got a question if your hair was falling out already and you do this transplant what keeps it from going the same route and falling out again or is that a chance you take as well or is it something different?
@hermione68302 ай бұрын
I think (from what I've read) it's because they actually transplant the folicle. Hair loss is mostly dead folicles that no longer grow hair. I might not be 100% on this, but it's what it seems like.

Hair follicles taken from the "donor area" in a hair transplant are considered resistant to DHT, the hormone primarily responsible for male pattern baldness.
