Thanks for the information! Do you know how we go about getting one of these visas? Where is the website we go to apply?

Do you think they'll iterate on it?
@YonderPreneur2 ай бұрын
@@jonathanmichaelsmith9012 I very much hope so, the recent election in Japan has put in a even more conservative government, might be unlikely anything changes in the near future

Why bother when you have a free 3 months tourist visa? Jump out and come back, there's the 6 months. Or did I get something wrong.

You are correct, for example if you want to stay in Japan as a tourist for more than 90 days. All you have to do is fly out after the first 90 then fly back in. Boom 180 days. (180 is the max) in a year as a tourist. Only thing the digital nomad visa is helping with at the moment is you don’t have to leave and come back you can just spend the whole 180 in Japan. This is why I think they need to work on the visa

@YonderPreneur @xaviera.2191 As far as I know, you can stay 180 days in a year but no more than 90 days in a 180 days period. So you need to wait another 3 moths to reenter.

Now that you expose the faults of the Japanese Digital Nomad Visas, it’s given me a bit of a second thought to even remotely buying an Akiya.

If you are looking to buy an Akiya, I think looking in person is your best bet before buying anything
