I real like your videos. You come across very warm, knowledgable and someone people would want to work with. I like the personal antedotes and the fact you share information about yourself too. I find that's important because anyone can look up data, but no one can replace quality relationships with others, unique insights, and interpretation of a place's vibes.

Former 18 year resident, born, raised, graduated. We moved to Clarkston in 92/93. We moved due to necessity only. My family has been residents since the '40s and still are to this day. It's a sleepy little town, pass thru it to get to Flint, Pontiac, Auburn Hills. I get back as often as I can and am amazed at what has been happening downtown.

Great video! I didn't know about the resort town history. So cool! Totally agree with your pros and cons. The traffic can be brutal on Lapeer and sheewooo you need to be ready to drive fast and proactive on it is moving. I love Bitter Toms! I also love the proximity to trails and endless nature options. One other con is the Eagle Vally dump we pass off Lapeer in Auburn Hills... sometimes if you are close enough you can smell it. I'm banking on the landfill becoming a ski resort one day 😅

I like your video. I have lived here on and off since the early 70s. The taxes are out of hand, but I blame the residents as they vote for every tax increase no matter what it's used for.

Thank you for the mini history lesson! I grew up in LO and didn't know about the legend of the dragon. I will forever be proud of being a dragon!

as a lake Orion person, I am very surprised about the dragon thing I wish I knew that sooner this place is such a nice place live with one of the elementary schools right by a park so kids can go to the park easily. and I recommend the plaza there is a dairy queen Meijer etc.
