Love the content. Thanks for your help in the previous budget awning review you mentioned in this video. I did get the replacement cover finally. After one use on a weekend trip, the awning worked great. I'm happy with that budget system compared to this system you are installing; especially with the lights that came with it. I will add a small top pushup extender to it, like the one you demo-ed with this one. That should take me less time to fabricate and install then a light kit. Can't wait to see this rig out and about again.

I have the same evergreen tent from the same cap it and I luv it. I feel it's an amazing value. Spent 30+ nights in it this year.

So many people cover Sema and also expos that I just watch a few then im over it… I did watch yours and it was cool to see what’s his name the (cooking guy) his rig and setup. That was my favorite part of your Sema vid.

So sick of every single KZbinr going to SEMA, doing the same videos. SEMA has become a circus!

Personally, I am definitely over the dozens of SEMA videos that are posted year after year. I skipped them all this year so I can’t comment on your specific coverage. However, I do watch your other content, minus all the ads.

The Alu-cab awning looks better than the Top oak, but idk if it looks 1100 more dollars better. Over $1500 is a lot. Congratulations for sure on having a kick down for free relationship with them. That for sure is some nice stuff to have that the average to even about average person can’t afford.

I’ve had the aluCab 270 awning for 2 years, the fabric holds rain water on the top & It’s doesn’t dry out very quickly. I caught it in the zip when putting it away and put a hole in it. But It is good in the sun

cool video the tent looks really nice on it and glad to see you’re getting the demonator back shortly. I actually have replaced the engine on my Jeep and I did have a bad cat as well.

Nope. They are seperate.

There is a model that does allow you to start with just a topper and then change the roof to allow pass through. Check out Mountain States Offroad or OK4WD, I don’t remember which one installed one. I just searched it up, it’s the Alu Cab ModCAP and OK4WD installed one on a 3rd Gen Tundra.
@J.Young808Ай бұрын
34:50 good thing your truck is lifted and on 40’s otherwise you’d have to duck to get under the awning (unless you are using a wide angle lens.
@Casey250Ай бұрын
It is wide angle. The awning is probably 7ft off the ground.

Who would you say has the best rear spring for lots of weight?
@Casey250Ай бұрын
That really depends on what a lot of weight is. Metalcloak has been improving their gladiator springs. Clayton has weight ratings on their springs, thats what I use in the Wrangler. Best is to email or call a few companies and ask if they rate their springs for specific additional amounts of weight. Air bags help on my Wrangler too.

You will need the heavy rain kit. The awning does stretch out a bit and will collect water without staking it down.
