I never commented on KZbin before, but you asked about situation in which I have a lot of experience. So me and my ex-gf broke up 2.5 years ago in time when we just moved in Berlin (after the war in Ukraine). And imagine this craziness, we live together till now. I have a room and she has a room in one apartment (because it is very comfortable and very cheap). So as we are you won't lose your feelings in case you are doing things together. But with time eventually you will start to hate some things about her, and she also about you. It will grow. Also relationships with another people will be much slower if you will be still together. Also it creates a weird and longing tension in case somebody started a relationship with someone else. Now we are okay, she had a lot of bfs, I had a lot of gfs, it's crazy how much time we spend together in this life. But I would say, that in this case it would be better to have contacts still, but do not ever live together for a long time with your ex, it will just create more problems than moments of happiness.

Honestly, if you guys spent every minute together before the breakup and you are doing something comparable after the breakup, one of you will likely be holding on to the thought of being "together" intimately. I have a Japanese Wife and we lived in a similar situation but in Sydney Australia. One room for a year. Our relationship was just about over we both wanted to quit. I said at the end our cultures are so far apart and if we are to make this work we have to forgive each other over and over every day otherwise it's sayonara. We decided to get a bigger place and hung in there and now our marriage is strong after 7 years together. My advice to you is maybe go to Korea for a year or two. (Koreans love caucasian vloggers. Check out my mate Nick K he was in Gunma and nothing really happening and boom now he's killing it) And you and Erica if still have a connection with love will both know it in Ur hearts and are still close enough to catch up. Excuse my spelling if her name is wrong. This is my advice as I understand Japanese girls like you being in this similar situation. Anyway I'm enjoying Ur vlogs. Tez from Sydney Australia

advice --- be friends dont date or get married to any one. life is hard enough on your own to survive financially and emotionally . dating and marriage just make it worse and with the rate at which dating relationships end and divorce happens. its not worth it to put your self through the pain of either one. your young take your time live on your own go to college, work, get a career, save money, buy a home and enjoy life before you worry about dating and marriage. you have plenty of time for that later in life.
