The automotive press is REALLY annoying and you're right, Nissan is the current stepchild of the industry. These articles are insane and every negative thing is blown out of proportion and whenever they do something right it's swept under the rug. They'd rather focus on this stuff than the fact they just redesigned 3 SUVs in their lineup that are all solid vehicles. But somehow their just going to disappear in 12-14 months? There's a lot that is needed to be done to right the ship, but the press is making it seem like the ship is sinking versus simply being off course. I'd say the key is to let the product speak for itself, but these reviewers approach anything with a Nissan/Infiniti badge with an automatic bias that even that will be an uphill battle. Like how the launch of the new QX80 has been undermined by everyone complaining about the pricing when it is actually thousands less than the competition, but people still rant a rave about the LX which is such a rip off being so small and lacking features for that class.

Bro you are so right Nissan's probably the most underrated car company that in the world what most people don't know is the 90 percent of the modern technology and safety features were introduced by Nissan they are the most innovative car company they are the only ones with a CVT that powers a fully ICE engine of 300 horsepower I can't even begin to outline their achievement but yet the masses and the media heavily critize Nissan, I personally think is because they make cars that have features that are standard in their cars but are optional in high-end luxury cars e.g the new sentra has safety features that the new BMW 3 series doesn't even offer at all even in their most equipped models yet it's about twice the price of the sentra, the gtr is another example a car that destroys any hypersuper car yet it's far cheaper and practical I could go on and on it's only few people and real car enthusiast that appreciate Nissan

Hello Sir. Glad I found your channel. I have seen the gloom and doom about Nissan but sincerely hope that Nissan can turn it all around. I love Nissan. I currently have a Sentra SR that I bought new in 2023. Love that car alot. It is my 4th Nissan purchase and I hope to be able to continue my relationship with NIssan in the coming years. I have a great local Nissan dealer whom I buy my Nissans from. Have treated me like gold from start to finish.

Nissan is still listed as #3 in Japanese car manufactures as far as revenue. Bad or for worse they are still merged with Renault and Mitsubishi. Let’s not forget Infinity as their luxury brand. Nissan has a lot of assets and they speak like they have a plan to help them right the ship. Will Nissan go away? No, but changes will be made.

Thanks for the input. Only vehicles I have ever owned are NISSAN or the Infiniti I have now. I understand how both have arrived at the place they are as far as no updating products and the CVT trannys. I remember the early 2000s when NISSAN was practically on everyone's list for considerations and had like 10 different vehicles for sale. The issues have lead me to not wanting a newer Infiniti or NISSAN(but getting an older model if needed). I hope that they can get back on their feet because I love the brand at heart.

One of the big reasons many enthusiasts love Nissan is the stability of the platform. You can "refresh" the body lines and interior touch items just fine, but keep a slow & steady approach on the powertrains (unless something is really broken like the radiators back in the day or the CVTs that still need something... maybe tell folk mandatory trans fluid change every 30-35k mi so they don't burn up so quick)

I stirred away from Nissan because of the transmission issues and nobody I know has one in order for me to ask them about their experience, in this economy, people are looking for cars that are gonna last 10+ years and nobody wants mechanical issues. More advertising on the Frontier..dont see any commercials on it or the Titan when it was in production. Word of mouth only goes so far, no matter how good a vehicle is. I just bought a 2024 Frontier Pro 4X in early August. Before that, I didn't even know what it was when I first saw it, because I never seen any commercials or advertising, so I didn't know they changed body styles in 2022. I believe this is one of the reasons for the lower sales of the Frontier and the Titan. Its sad to see the Titan go along with the Xterra..better marketing would have kept these models alive. I am really enjoying my Frontier and believe it is the best midsize truck out there.

On my 4th Nissan and am hopelessly addicted to Nissan. Loved them ever since the GTP ZX turbo race car was so dominant in the late 80’s. Just bought my 3rd Frontier and I love the new truck. But to echo others, I’d like to see more aftermarket items/support for the Frontier. I’ve done a lot mods myself but it’s pretty limited. Still love Nissan though and would love to see a resurgence to its glory days.

54 years old and new to Nissan with 2024 Frontier Pro4X Premium coming from a 2021 TRD Off Road Premium. Easily the best bang for the buck in the mid-truck segment. Was a no brainer. Love the truck. It’s been great. And has made me more interested in the brand. I would prefer if they could make it just a little more aggressive and aggressive looking but I still got it based on the value proposition. Have a 2016 Camaro SS manual to replace someday. GTR is just too expensive. Nissan Z is too expensive in comparison to what I have already with the Camaro. Interested in a great reasonably priced, reasonably fast, manual sports car preferably with 4 seats….or maybe a new electric sports car in which the instant torque and instant response is more comparable to having a manual. Been impressed with the features, attention to detail and the reasonable price (relatively speaking).

I like Nissans. I love the way the Sentra looks (I’m a compact car person because I live in the city, compact cars in city traffic just makes sense). I really wanted a Sentra, but went with the Mazda 3 mainly because I don’t trust the Nissan CVTs. Every single person I knew with a Nissan with a CVT, their cars ended up staying in the shop for transmission problems. All of them have moved to other brands since-I personally don’t know a single person who currently drives a Nissan. As a customer (not an enthusiast), I want a car that I can feel assured will last me until I’m ready to buy a new car. I’ve had my Mazda 3 for 6 years and 101,000 miles with no problems. If I’d bought that Sentra in 2018, would I have been able to say the same thing? I’m leaning towards “no” and that’s the problem that Nissan must overcome. Nissan needs to convince the everyday customers that the cars are worth buying. The average consumer isn’t really reading what the automotive press is talking about, we’re thinking about how Jenn’s Altima is constantly in the shop or how Bill had to pay thousands of dollars to have his transmission replaced on his Rogue-we’re thinking about what our friends, relatives, colleagues, etc., experienced with a product and, in my situation, I have not a single social connection with positive experiences with Nissans built after 2010.

Thanks for the insight. Our family has owned a 240z, 300ZX, Pathfinder, Quest, Maxima, Sentra, Frontier, G35 and all were very good cars and value. I thought Nissan had an opportunity with the new Nissan Z launch but fell short with the availability and the initial price insane markups. Was and still in the market for a red Performance, but still can’t find one at a local dealer. My son in law is a Tesla fan and is pushing me to get the new Tesla 3 Performance for about the same price and 3 second 0-60. Yes, it’s a total different driving experience, but the Tesla performance and technology has the edge. I’m passionate on the new Z and have been a Z enthusiast for decades…..but hard to argue against getting a new Tesla 3P. Still pondering, I always lean to the Tesla, but when I saw a new Z (extremely rare) out on the street, all I could do is stare and say “I WANT ONE!“ Thanks again for your perspective as a Nissan employee.

I've never had fear that Nissan would disappear, but Nissan does keep fumbling the ball. Nissan needs to embrace the modders & tuners. Alot of folk have swapped in 1st gen Titan powertrains into Frontiers, but I don't think anyone has figured out how to get a 2nd gen Titan PT to play nice with Frontiers. They Need To Work With Aftermarket. If Nissan offered a V8 Frontier they would SELL. I understand that the brand likely cannot make that happen, so they need to be friendly with shops that will. I still maintain that killing the Titan is not smart, but I understand sales volume. Hence V8 Frontier! Frontys already get Big Brake kits (Z1 Motors is best example today) and upgraded suspensions, all we need for Big Tow is Big Powah! Re-gearing the Frontys is not impossible but it is near cost prohibitive for most folk trying to run 33s (they just look RIGHT on a Frontier).

I left Nissan with the 2013 370Z after 6 prior Nissans, went to Jeep, got disappointed, settled into VW Taos for now. This thing gives me major Nissan Rasheen vibes from my time in Japan so it’s great for now. It’s that full moonroof, low to ground. Appreciate your perspective. Maybe in the big cities the hybrid does well in sales. In my area (Western Pennsylvania) you see them on the road, but, you also see them sitting on dealership lots. If nissan was a more afgordable brand ppl would gravitate more but then u get to realiablity where customers with older cars love nissan bevuz they are realiable and now they are upset at newer cars with all different types of tjings that just dont seem right to happen to a new car. Quality has fell , and price is too expensive like you said the kick fully loaded 30+k the kicks was suppose to be the affordable car 16-22k ppl in city bought them like hot cakes out in country sentras and awd suv are kings. Right now I support Nissan by buying their 20+ year old cars that actually have meaning to me (R51 Pathfinder and B15 Sentra Spec-V in the garage...) and I just hope that they can remember the great cars they used to make and try to at least apply some of that effort in the future. Online journalism knows this so they regurgitate the same headline over and over again while being aware that they are spreading falsities. Pleeeeeeeeeeease Nissan, bring back the Xterra and bring it to Australia too!

NISSAN should have put the V6 in the TITAN, and revamped it, and ADVERTISED OT

Cvts need to go. They kill the driving experience, even in small cars. Just makes for the worst driving experience, let alone reliability. Longtime Nissan fan (own an s13) but bought a civic hybrid for the daily this go around and Nissan wasn’t even a thought. They have nothing even comparable.

@ Yea, kind of did if you gonna make a video on Nissan going out business. The number one reason why it might go out of business is because people has lost complete faith in Nissan for over a decade. Now it just seemed like your just covering Nissan and they just made a simple mistake that they can just tweak out.

You’ve installed crappy CVT’s for years! By the way, I’m on my 4th Nissan since 1979.

Nissan can’t offer anything viable compared to others brands. kIA and Hyundai killing japanese brands and rise of mazda also kick nissan in the market for not innovating and release interesting cars. Nissan do not even have interesting design either so this is inevitable plus unreliable mass SUV and sedans destrying customer base to move to another brands. When toyota release their enthusaistbcars and hoda and mazda, nissan will be left in the dust. Its inevitable for nissan to be aquired by another brand. Nissan need to innovate and step up to KiA and hyundai and mazda they were just staying afloat because of their Z and GTR’s but those are just minority of the buyers.

2 big problems not addressed. Nissan has a lot of debt needing refinanced in the next 18 months. Moody's ranks their debt as junk. Nissan makes a lot of cars in Mexico. Trump's 25% tariff on Mexican autos would hit Nissan very hard.
