I feel like a lot of popular tech reviewers who are based in the US kind of aren't aware of a lot of other phones in the mid-range/budget space. Then there's the whole "just buy last year's flagship" thing which makes it even more competitive. I like this phone because it is cool and a step in the right direction regarding repairability, but it just isn't enough. They should've made the battery easier to replace.

@@DMInteraction 100% agree with you there. That's actually a really valid point about the reviewers actually. But, given that a lot of my friends and enthusiasts in general watch certain US and UK based creators, (with some just solely using them to make a decision), I think it was important that I went ahead and highlighted that even though I completely get what you mean. The previous year's flagship thing makes for a really compelling argument too actually. And you're 100% right, it absolutely stacks a segment which has every possible phone model and maker. And yes, that second para is basically everything and more that I feel about the phone, like there's things that are cool about this phone, but you know why I'm so critical of it when the marketed selling point is shoved behind a wall of being an add-on rather than something they include with the phone in the box. There's other things too, but I'm sure you know about those from the vid. Thanks for the comment btw!

fI'm thinking the same thing: the case doesn't protect at all like the "case" like the body of the smartphone in general so it requires a third party willing to redesign.

Just my opinion..If I plan to buy this phone I'll buy the charger also..so total of 17200 + case(not the official case) say 17500..For 17500 you get a clean software(Im a software geek I'll ignore poco, redmi, vivo, oppo and iqoo just because of that) camera is like above average, performance is good..so I can't come up with any mobile that can beat this thing under 17500..we can buy the 1200 case after 1or 2 years..the only drawback was the overhype given like you said.. aside that this is a good mobile ❤

@@_akhil_achu___ I agree with you actually. The over the top hype is what really made me cover the phone, and if you noticed what I said in the video, most of it was just taking apart the way the phone was marketed, including how they decided to sell the main gimmicks of the phone separately. Again, like I said in the video, this is a perfectly decent phone, it's just that the competition looks quite attractive as well, and my personal opinion is that someone who's ready to pay 17.5K would be okay stretching a couple thousand extra if there's better phones they can buy. So, it's really down to what someone expects out of their phone, which in your case, is really good software; and for that the cmf is a perfectly good buy!

That processor is the worst form of marketing they could've done... It's almost "scammy". The D7300 is much worse than the D7200, unlike the name suggests... Infact, it's just a rebranded D7050, which is much older and far less powerful. The core architecture is older and slower (A78 performance cores and A55 Efficiency core vs the A715 and A510 cores on the D7200) and even the gpu is much worse (MC2 vs MC4 on the 7200).

@@adityasilwal7069 I couldn't agree more. The guy at Mediatek that decided to name their chipsets that way needs a bit of a wake-up to put it nicely. It's deceptive marketing at its best and I despise it.

I like your point and the well produced video but I feel you missed the mark in one area. Both nothing and the Indian public know that the mis and bbks of the world will out spec this thing. Nothing claims they're gone and given a clean software experience (hard to find in this price range) and an inspired design (compared to the lifeless backs of bbk devices) But even here, nothing fails and they've been beaten spec wise by Motorola ( a company that has been doing the same thing for a very long time) Comparing the nothing to a motorala will be a more fairer comparison because no one can claim that they just want the clean software/design of the nothing when moto offers the same/more for a lesser price

@@freestar_cyan Firstly thank you so much man! I can see what you mean, and honestly I had no idea Nothing admitted defeat here. But when you're selling a product in any segment, the average person is going to compare them directly to the bbks and xiaomis since those are the current market leaders, which is why I intentionally put the phone up against my own redmi phone. I like your point about the Moto as well, but when say your dad's buying a phone for you, the first thing he'd do is google "Best phones under x amount of money" and it's the market leaders that most sites recommend. Admittedly a Moto phone would make for a closer comparison, but I hope you get my thinking about the market, since most people, unlike us enthusiasts would just go and get what they're told is the best. And yes, I absolutely agree with you about the Moto btw Would love to continue this discussion further though!

You guys are spoiled in other countries.believe me if I had the option to go into a store here in the U.S.A and buy a Vivo, Xioami. Redmi. Or a Poco I would. I understand that you can import the device and I have but sometimes you just want to go into a store and check it out first I know how much you get for the price from different brands that you have where you live. I'm a tech head and I have many different devices from flagships to mid-rangers to budgets and I admit I do have a problem I'm addicted 😊 to phones. And for $200 Dollars this phone is well worth it and I'll be pulling the trigger on this device in a couple months. I'm getting the Pixel 9 Pro Fold this week. Thanks for the video.

That's actually really interesting to hear! And yeah, budget phones are getting absolutely insane nowadays, so I completely understand why you'd even pick one up (trust me, aside from a couple of minor "budget phone" things like the software needing a restart once in a while, it's been a really fun experience personally). You're right honestly, specs-wise the phone is well worth it's $200 price tag in the US as the space it's in is less populated (options-wise) than it is here in India. There's obviously the fact that it lacks NFC though, so I don't know how much of a deal breaker that is for you. Side note, I'm actually really stoked that you're getting the Pixel 9 Pro Fold! From everything I've seen, it looks like Google's done a great job with it. Thanks for the lovely comment, btw, was great meeting a fellow phone nerd 😁❤

i use a motorola g84 and it is better than the cmf for a cheaper price, it goes to show that the budget phone field is extremely competivite like you said but tech youtubers dont really pay attention to that side of the phone market to understand that the cmf is really basic

I so so agree with you man! It's such a stacked segment, but that's what makes life as a consumer difficult (or fun imo lol). So many good options from so many good brands to choose from!

I'd love to go faster but it'd be too unintelligible for you guys to understand. So, I think this is the fastest I could get away with that appeals to most people. If you'd like a faster tone of delivery, would suggest putting the vid on 1.5x. That aside, thank you very much though!

@@1-N-only-Harish I'd hands down recommend the iPhone 13, if you're able to afford it. It'll have software support for at least the next three years plus it has a good camera (and much much better processor). Solid buy honestly
