I worked at olight for about a year, a little tip - on the mini and on all the magnetic charging models- try not to let them sit on upright because you're damaging the charging rings try to always sit it sideways, your not going to read that on the manual instructions, if it's red and you connect the magnetic charger and the light doesn't change remove the battery and place it back again and reconnect the charger, it's reseting itself , on the mini have 2 or more batteries and rotate them. As long as streamlight exists I can't understand why you would buy a nolight. Same budgetish price point with a long term track record of reliability. Also low-key proud my osight short video was used here lol.

It's weird that actual quality brands like Streamlight don't have masses of videos complaining about heat and danger issues. Even the ones that have a lockout. The lockout isn't needed to make it safe.

I have a OLIGHT VALKYRIE PL-3 and have had it for some time now. I dig this tool and treat it with safety in mind! I will say this, most guys will not read there “User Manuals”. I have seen most reviewers perform unboxings and they throw the instructions to the side like there a Boss. If you “Share Complaints” share the Model you have… 😉 I will continue utilizing OLIGHT which is my night stand sweep tool.

Yes there's a lock out. The lights are so bad and so dangerous, that they need a lockout. It's weird how popular quality high performing lights don't need that to keep from hurting the end user. Also, if you're going to talk shit, you may as well make it in context of the issue. That setting down the flashlight near something metal, made the switch short out and turn the light on. If you are so balls deep into Olight that you're actually defending that massive design flaw. People should probably reconsider taking anything you say as honest or seriously.

The hate stems from these flashlights and propietary batteries technically are low quality crap on multiple levels. You can get better build quality from good china brands for less money.

Well, since you chose to put me in your video and claimed I must not have read the directions, I guess I'll respond. I have carried "tactical" flashlights since going on the police department in 1975 (before you were born, maybe?) and have carried many different brands. I have never experienced the kind of problem I did with O-Light (yes, after reading the directions). I will never buy another O-Light and will never recommend that anyone else does. Have a good day.
