I'm in online school and yeah sometimes it gets lonley. I usually talk a lot at school I used to get In trouble. Haha. But yeah. It gets lonley. But overall the only thing I have to say is keep in touch with your friends and everything will be fine and online school is awesome

I want to do online school because I want to work at my own pace and At my regular school our teachers expects to work quickly and not waist time and I’m also an English learner and I know a lot of English by now but it takes me a while to do some things because i have a lot of anxiety and I have to make sure that what I’m writing makes sense and understand what I’m reading. Also my parents don’t let me because they think I’m just being lazy :( and that I’m not responsible and it really breaks my heart because they don’t understand that I need more time to work than others.

online schooling is similar to public school, in assignments and testing. but there is a drift of change between being social and communicating with teachers. the benefits of online schooling is the flexibility and moving at your own pace, the organization etc.

Im in the same k12 videography club. I completely agree on wanting a normal school experience. Personally im not too sure on how i feel about online school. It has its ups and downs in my opinion.

Dude ive been in k12 for 5 years im now in 11th grade. IT IS NOT i repeat IT IS NOT a fun experience if dont live near your friends. (Most of the people i knew im the public school near me forgot about me) so its very difficult to make friends and to try and get a girlfriend espcially when i have to try REALLY hard to put myself out there. It also very hard to go to walmart when you're socially akward and cant look people in the eyes espcialy when you're used to looking at a screen (mostly youtube)for 5-8 hours a day with little to no social interactions even in class connects. I would tell people who want to be online school to get ready to bend over and take social anxiety and akwardness

I do online school too (through a state school) and i relate with having no friendships through my school and i obviously can’t get a boyfriend too lol. i still have friends that live in my area though, so i’m thankful for them. online school has definitely made me more socially awkward, so i kinda regret doing it.

And we never had a socializing class untill LAST MONTH, and motivated? I had a 3.8 gpa until 10th grade, four years after i joined k12 and right when i stopped giving af about everything

I am so happy I have found someone to relate to. It has been so hard for me at my highschool, all my friends go to a different one and as you I was also miserable so I am doing online. Then I’m going back to regular highschool. Thank god you said that I needed the validation.

I’m trying to decide if I should continue from homeschooling into online school, or go to public school. I feel like I work better by myself, and am also a shy anxious, and self conscious person. Large groups of kids my age scares me lol. My older brothers are being very pushy for my brother and I to go, but I DON’T WANT TO😂 At least not yet.

Dior Whitfield she’s a sophomore and you just answer the questions online. the curriculum and tests are very similar to public school, it’s just online. the reading and essays stuff depends on your classes

For me every week there are quizzes and there are links that take you to books that you have to read and the test are links that take you to test btw I’m in 9th grade right now going to 10th

iesha Lifestyle xoxo i started homeschooling for the first time during my freshman year, it was not bad. but if you’re not sure then i really recommend trying to go to public school first and if you don’t like it then definitely try online schooling x

Anna Ahmed that was the same for me that was one of the reasons I went to online like when you first do online it’s super fun and cool but after a while it’s starts getting boring and for holidays they give you breaks like 1-2 weeks off winter just like regular school like you have to be a self starter I was a self starter at first but after a year i wasn’t anymore

A unit is like a section in a class that you’re learning. Like in science, chemistry might be a unit for you. In math units would be like “1.5” or something like that

You have to start at a certain time with K12. It's tution free unless you use a private K12 school. not all schools are like that tho

No k12 is free like public school

Depends on where you go. Just like traditional schools, there are different types of online schools. Public school tends to be free but charter and private online school tend to have a cost.

I am in the online program my school offers and it’s horrible I get atleast like 40 assignments and I have to go to school for tests which kinda defeats the purpose of online like I do think they got that I never want to step foot in that place again lol also all of my work is due on Thursday giving me 4 days for 30-40 assignments
