Elvis' secretary, Becky Yancey, wrote a book, "My Life with Elvis". I read it years ago, and the part I remember is that she asked Elvis if she could be his maid for his home, and he thought that was funny. He told her she could be his secretary, and she worked in the office in the back at Graceland. She passed away in 2021 according to the obituary.

One would think if she wanted to be everything Elvis wanted why would she cheat on him. I’ve heard his family say she did her hair the way she wanted it not Elvis and she had friends too. It’s ridiculous that she paints herself victim

MITTE.. I have no respect for Prissy whatsoever...The only good thing she gave to Elvis was Lisa Marie...And there is no doubt that Elvis was Lisa's father...She looked just like him down to the way she curled her lip!!! Do I feel that Prissy was pregnant before they got married. ..Yes I do...I ALWAYS had that gnawing feeling that she was...That's why the wedding was so rushed...And I always wondered why her wedding dress was so plain and loose...Anyway that's my feelings. .. TCB/TLC. .❤I met her and Lisa in 2007 backstage at the FedEx Center in Memphis during the 30th anniversary Elvis Week....Lisa was so sweet and seemed genuine.. Prissy ACTED so sweet but you could see it was so phony...

I am having such trouble wrapping my head around P’s black heart 🖤! How could she just arrive there after having a fairytale with Elvis in Germany, then as the fairytale continues, and Elvis moves her there, how how how is she looking at boys and not totally in love with Elvis? And the kindness he showed that boy, doesn’t surprise me, that is the beautiful heart 🩵 or Our Precious Elvis…. She just becomes more and more hateful and evil to me!!! 😤🤬

I just think that it was her parents more than her that wanted this to be. I think that she was in love with the image and once she figured out that that was not the image she kind of was trapped.

In the Ladies Home Journal story,Prissy told them,that Elvis never told her what to do,or what to wear.She went to finishing school to learn about makeup.At the end of the day,Prissy did her makeup like Cleopatra and said that she loved it, and was STILL in her Cleopatra stage.

Another great video on the 2 year passing on Lisa. I have read all of the important books and have been a fan of Elvis 60 years. In all of my readings, I have come to the conclusion that Elvis "MAY" have been in the high functioning Autism Spectrum. It would explain many of the issues he had in his life & career. In his lifetime, nothing much was known about autism, and how it can manifest itself in ones life. When he was a child living in Tupelo, kids called him odd or weird. The same thing happened in his early days in Memphis. I have worked with mildly autistic children, and understood most of the challenges they face in life, and it can be very hard on them. They tend to be highly sensitive to many things, such as strong smells, bright lighting, harsh fabrics on their skin, food issues. They can have temper tantrums over the smallest of things. Elvis had to face all of so many things in his life, that would be daunting to a normal person. No one that was close to him ever would have guessed he had this problem, including his family and close fans. I think that is why Gladys was so overly protective of him, and worried about him so much. Parker also ad an inkling that Elvis needed protecting. It was not all about money. Of course she would not have been aware of Autism, nor Vernon. The music was an escape for Elvis, even as a child. Elvis has gotten a bad rap for many things, especially his use of prescription drugs. In my opinion, he took these drugs to calm himself down from all the stimulus around him, that is how he coped. People who are fans should read up on Autism, and then see how it applied to Elvis, and how he lived his life. People have been too quick to judge him, without truly understanding him. I have hesitated to say this, for a long time because most people don't get it. I wish a good writer would connect Elvis with being mildly Autistic, so those horrible people out there who have criticized him for over 40 years would finally come to understand the man. Sorry this was so long, but it has needed to be said for a long time. I found your channel to be the best to air it on. I hope his fans who read this will give it some thought, and understand how he truly suffered much of the time.

Thank you Joe for reading this book to us. It is difficult sorting out what is factual and what is not when people are saying one thing one time and another time saying something completely different about the same incident or whatever. I need to catch up on your readings..thank you again for taking time to read and sing for us...much appreciated 🌻

Hi Joe ❤ I don't believe that Elvis controlled prissy, I think she dressed and looked the way she did to trap Elvis. I dont believe what Joe has to say either, he always thought that he was better than any of the other guys. Even Lisa said in her book, that the only one who would tell her what to do or tell her off was Joe. RIP Lisa Marie ❤️ Thank you for reading once again Joe ❤

Joe ...In speking about Priscilla's pregnancy to Lisa,Please lets not hit the bottom of the barrel by saying " How do we know Elvis is Lisa's father if Priscilla was playing around"? We don't need to go there .Lisa was every bit Elvis's daughter...

Trust me, I think that she looks like Elvis but then again I know how perception can be for people. It’s how hit songs are made by playing them over and over again same with subliminal messages. I’m saying that the question has been out there because of the forced marriage. Because of the rushed marriage of her being pregnant. Let’s just say Priscilla went to the criminal and said I’m pregnant. Don’t tell Elvis it will cause a scandal. We need to be married and then kole said if we don’t marry you guys right now tomorrow or next week, her family is going to share that you guys had messed around when she was young. It’s not outside the Rema possibility what I found out about Hollywood and superstars and stars is all very very screwed up. I’ve been in these industries for long enough to know that something like this is certainly possible. Do I think it’s likely. No I do believe that Lisa does look like Elvis. but so does Desiree. In a lot of ways they look the same and different. But And lied about being a virgin. Why would we think that she wouldn’t be fooling around before Elvis. I’ve heard this stuff for years. But like I said, I believe that Lisa is Elvis’s daughter, but that’s all I’ve ever been told and showing all of my life as well? But I also know that at least 50% of a marriage is have affairs, and there are a lot of illegitimate children all around that are never even discovered. It might be the reason why some people don’t want to test in the Presley family they could be legitimate or suspect and then their livelihoods would be over. I’m not pointing anybody in particular. I’m just saying in general. I really have to look at things from all angles.

Where is the suicide letter that Elvis wrote?? Is it the one that was auctioned?? If so i personally never took that note as a suicide.. Elvis had a thought n wrote it down then threw it away...What is said on that note im sure many people write a thought down..I never believed in anything Joe said..The only thing i believe that Joe said " When they stayed in Vegas for two weeks, Elvis wanted to go home." On their way home Joe said " He talked Elvis into going back instead of going home." Well Joe Mitte...
@RareElvisPhotos50 минут бұрын
Yeah, I don’t believe Elvis committed suicide or wanted to commit suicide, but he did tell Cathy Westmoreland and other people that he was going to die soon. He said something very cryptic to Larry Geller before he passed away. Supposedly, he said something very similar to David stanley the next time you see me will be in a different place on a higher plane. None of us want to ever consider the possibility of it. I could see how people would say well maybe David Stanley had lied because he doesn’t have the best reputation with protecting Elvis even though I have his brother Billy on the show and Billy does nothing but protect Elvis. It doesn’t mean that David is lying or David is telling the truth. Then you have Larry Geller and his last conversation with Elvis when Elvis was trying to get him to come upstairs to visit and read some and I know that Larry regrets not going up because of some of the things elvis said. I said I’ll see you tomorrow and Elvis said will you? I’ll have to find that interview. I don’t believe that Larry Geller and David Stanley are in the same mold of each other and friends to come up with a similar story. I don’t know what to think but I don’t truly want to have my mind to go there. Elvis was dying in my opinion end of the conversation he had with Kathy Westmoreland backed that up.

After watching several of your very interesting shows about Elvis and those who knew or loved him; the common theme seems to be Priscilla is all bad and Elvis can do no wrong. Anytime anyone points out some of his deep flaws they are criticized. Or if his flaws are mentioned it is glossed over. While I had no personal interaction with either one of them, my view is that they are both complex people with both good qualities and bad. There are many celebrities who do not bother to sue for defamation simply because it would take up too much time and money. It does not mean the stories are true. Vernon Presley too had both good and bad qualities. I feel if he was a stronger and wiser father Elvis would not have been taken advantage of by Col Parker and so many others. The fact that he married so soon after his first wife’s death shows a weakness. And the woman was not a nice person even her children agree. For these reasons I find it hard to believe that he alone without Priscilla’s help turned Graceland into a profit. I have enjoyed Billy Stanley’s sweet stories of his time with Elvis. While Elvis was a one of a kind and a once in a lifetime entertainer, who was kind and generous to many; he was not a faithful husband or boyfriend yet he demanded it from his women. And his overindulgent parenting style is not good for a child. Ask any professional in this area.

@RareElvisPhotos45 минут бұрын
You can sue people for libel and slander all the time. Libel is written slander is verbal- but nothing could be proven as a lie because she used exactly what Priscilla said- and of course, the stress analyzer test which was used in police stations across the country stated that Priscilla lied about everything except for one thing which was not even important to the story the name that currie introduced himself. Everything else was deceptive and lying. In the loving elvis Suzanne had currie Grant on there and she didn’t sue her there

It is no secret that the author disliked Elvis and wanted to expose him in writing this book. That's why she titled it Child Bride". Which in itself is a lie, Priscilla was 21 when she married Elvis. She found out the truth about Priscilla but carried on anyway. I lived this era, I am Priscilla as age. Her parents groomed her to Marry rich. That was done in that era. I was Married at 18 and my sister at 17. There are many point's where the author tries to psycoanalize Elvis and she is wrong.

Priscilla was available and tolerant because she was laser focused on being Mrs. Presley. Anita was not tolerant and that annoyed Elvis. He told Anita she was like a nagging wife and he couldn't take it. As controlling as Parker was, I don't understand why he allowed this situation to with potential to destroy Elvis's life.
@ElaineLittle-id6cy2 сағат бұрын
Elvis was so vulnerable from the loss of his Mother. He was deeply grieving her loss during this period of time. Parker was the only person Elvis would have been influenced by. Vernon was not strong enough. Parker should have intervened and not allowed the entrapment of Elvis. Once bobblehead got in Graceland, it was Mission accomplished.
