Jake, Todd, Gurley, and Steven Jackson, and even Marshall Faulk five fumbles the whole season the course of a 17 game season Kyren Williams has had five fumbles and we’re at the halfway point of the season we still got seven games left plus playoffs really no excuse for having ball protection. That’s the number one fundamental when it comes to running backs or players that have the ball in their hand a lot of times the last thing I wanna say is he fumbles and crucial times of the game it’s game changing fumbles..

I remember Tiki Barber having the same issue back in the day and he made an adjustment putting the ball closer to his chest rather than his side when running through the defense. Most defensive players are taught to use the “Peanut Punch” which is very effective. Kyron needs to watch the tape of Tiki Barber and help his situation. But to say he’s washed is a bit of a stretch IMO. Most of his fumbles come during two to three defenders making a tackle rather than when he’s beyond the line of scrimmage.

This dude Jake makes no sense. Dude said this line will be top 5 the rest of the season now they are the reason Kyren isn’t producing like last year. He also was the person saying “Kyren is pushing himself out the door and making extension talks harder” in his postgame video. I love Kyren and think he should stick around, but Jake you cannot be on this teeter totter of emotion then act like the fan base is dumb for their “reactionary” response to the game. Fumbles aside. He is a good back to very good back. He’s no Steven Jackson. In the Jourdan Rodrigue cross journalist cast this past week with the Eagles, the Eagles journalist talked about living with “good to very good” backs, and that’s why they got Barkley. A difference maker, an explosive back, a guy that will do well despite the offensive line. Good, better, best…

I believe K. Williams issue is the timing of his fumbles. Last week, the Rams opening drive was right through the Eagles defense. Then Williams fumbled in the red zone, that took the wind out of the Rams sails. Although Philly only scored a FG, the Rams scored a TD to take the lead. The Rams could have been up 14 or 10-3. Williams fumbles seen to come at the worst time, either in the opponents side of the field or in the first few plays on a drive. These type of fumbles hurt the teams momentum and don’t allow your defense to take a break.

Not a Fan of him as a feature back. He lacks that gear you need to break the long run. He not that elusive to make the first man miss really. He is a fumbling machine. Make all the excuses and name all the stats you like. Bottom line a lock that opens for all keys is a crappy lock. A Running back that can’t hold on to the ball is a crappy running back. You will always have love for him because he has support your channel and Alexis loves him. But RAMS RBs don’t rumble the football. We have always had elite backs that hold on to the ball. Jax never had a line and always got it done. No excuses allowed, hold on to the ball. KW

As a football fan and a fan of the Rams for the past 50 years, I believe the same critical sentiment towards Kyren Williams, he’s NOT a running back that can help the Rams to another championship. He’s a very serviceable back and seems like a good dude but his talent doesn’t scare defenses and adds to McVay calling too many pass plays. Historically, the Rams, in any era during the modern era, is always best when they have a stud running back- Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Steven Jackson, and Todd Gurley. These players are the standard for Rams football and Kyren Williams isn’t close to these guys, not saying anyone can be that good, but Kyren is not even a shade of those guys and that’s a problem. He has no breakaway speed, he’s not a bruiser, and he fumbles. I love my Rams but we need to be real as fans and so does the Rams organization. We had a good run but it’s time to open the checkbook and get some studs. Anything less will be mediocre football.

He gets trucked in pass blocking and he has fumbled 5 times. Turnovers ARE a most important statistic. His OL is relevant but not to fumbling. His OL has been more than adequate for run blocking despite its many iterations.
@johnreyes1749
@johnreyes1749 20 күн бұрын
The fumbling wipes out all the good that Kyren brings, yes he doesn’t have the break away speed but he still goes in there and gets dirty. It comes down to the OL and it was obvious against the Eagles, Avila is not 100 percent, Noteboom is softer than a cream puff, Havenstein goes down and his replacement gets manhandled. The Rams have been blessed with a rich tradition of running backs and if the Rams want that type of RB’s you’re either going to have to draft a stud or sign one.

I disagree with a lot of what you said: #1: He shouldn’t get extended. The only time a RB should be getting a contract is if they’re on the level of Saquon, McCaffrey, Henry, etc. He is not. #2: How good is Kyren in pass protection? He got his face ran over blocking a blitzing back vs the Eagles. Stafford got killed on the play. #3: The rams need a big and strong RB. Someone who is more than 210. Kyren is a scat back with explosive ability. #4: I’d trade him this offseason because the Rams WILL NOT pay a running back. Get as much value from him as you can.

Corum only had 7 career fumbles HIS ENTIRE FOUR YEARS AT UM! He also has the speed for the long runs that Kyren lacks. He ran a 4.4/40 his first 2 years at UM and ran a 4.53 at the combine. What did Kyren run at Indy? 4.6's? Rams have shared the carries before, maybe it's time to do that again. It would keep both backs fresh and cut down on injuries.

Hes a hard worker has a ton of heart a great attitude elite level vision and ability to just grind out 5-12 yard runs but thats it. Hes a good blocker but offers nothing as a receiver because of how limited he is physically and also his hands are bad. Kyren is getting the same reputation as a fumbler that Cam Akers had. Akers also fumbled at inopportune times. Once a rb has a reputation as a fumbler, it's over. I think that Corum deserves a shot. We can't afford fumbles from that position.

Analytics says don’t give RBs 2nd contracts, you can find better value in the draft at the position. The Rams are a heavy analytics team, and I suspect will move on from him. There are a handful of full of guys who turn out to be worth it on their second K, but most are not and represent big mistakes for the teams that sign him. KW is probably not a tier one guy, such as Henry or Barkley who will pay off for their teams past the first K, unless they can get him for a reasonable price.

Mcvay should at least benched him for a half and let him think about it & play Corum. Putting right back in is reinforcing bad behavior. I guarantee you Dick Vermiel would have benched him the rest of the game.

I think Corum could more than replace Williams. Go look at the number of Red Zone TD’s Corum had at Michigan. Corum is a 3rd pick for a reason and I think he has more upside than Williams.

He fumbles too much. You’re number one running back can’t be a fumbler. The fact is, that’s what he is.

I think people don't realize how important a decent O-line is. If Kyren has just a little help watch out, Also he is such a nice person, there are not many athletes that interact with the young fans, that makes my heart so happy to see the joy on the children's faces when he plays catch, you may think that's not a big deal, but trust me it is. I am hoping with Rob back this week and Steve getting back to himself we will get the run game going with Kyren, that will open up the passing game. One more thing this fan based sometimes makes me angry. Fire Mcvay, trade Kupp and Stafford, Stafford is trash, Kyren is trash whoa. Anyway Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels.

He fumbles the ball at the worst times. He has regressed. Hopefully he will be traded for some picks. Give Corum the ball.

Yeah he fumbles but out play calling is predictable. Third and 12, let's run. Tf?! Where's the sweeps? reverse? Cmon Sean, mix it up. You're predictable

Jake! You can't cover up his fumbling issues with comparisons to last year.he had this same issue last year. He fumbled twice against Washington and was sat by McVay for a little while. He gets paid to hold on to the football. Every RB fumbles sometimes but at this rate, it's an issue! Bottom line.

Kyren sure isnt gonna break a 70 yard run like barkley but my guy is getting 4.5 yards per carry. He is a very good back, he can be a great player if he cleans up the fumbles

Just wait! The saint defense coming up is last in the league for yards per carry for running backs. He’s is going to have a much needed “break out” game

the fumbles are a problem, yes... but this is different. with akers for instance, our o line wasn't great, yet he generated nothing on the run, with williams our o line is trashed with injuries, yet he still manages 4 ypc. he cant break a big run becuase the run blocking gets no push! i mean look at the eagles oline for barkley, they were 5 yeard upfeild everytime he ran the ball, with yren its almost like the line is in the backfield when he touches it, theres no push, last year he broke big runs, thats becasue our oline was healthy and good

Jake ✋️ stop defending this guy Mr Williams not only his fumbling but he has a attitude problem. Ram's need a RB in a mold of Eric or like Jackson. Not a back like Williams one they drafted. Yes the OL is still a problem and not utilizing Tutu, Allen, the rookie receiver!
