Seems great, But it wouldn't be for any trailer or rv. The weight alone is a major factor. then there is the skylight. The plastic of the skylight will dry out and crack, then what? from the looks of how this armor has covered the parameter of the skylight. if it had to be replaced, the time to cut it out would probably cost as much as an entire standard TPO or EPDM in materials. I see it now. cost of skylight 100, cost to replace it 1500.00. I'll also add that I noticed the flex armor covers the tops ( last couple inches ) of the vertical rails. While the flex armor will stop any water from intruding the roof, what about the vertical corners of the rear and front trim moldings. those still need maintenance. if for some reason water got past the molding, you'll have to remove and reseal. So you will need to cut the armor flex material from around the trim molding in order to remove it? So I'd guess that would void there warranty.

It's really shocking what the RV makers get away with. If you put a rubber roof on your new screen porch, it would come with up to a 40 year warranty. If it failed any time before that, you'd call the contractor out to fix it. And if he tried to dodge responsibility by saying you didn't get up on the roof each year to reseal it, you'd rightly threaten legal action. If that roof failed in the first 5 years and rotted out a major portion of the roof structure as well, you'd file a complaint with the state against his contractor's license and drag him into court. The contractor would either write you a big check, or skip town in the middle of the night, because any court would rule in your favor. Yet somehow when it comes to RVs, all that is right out the window. We _expect_ the roof to fail in a very short time. We get up on the roof faithfully each year in an attempt to compensate for the dreadful design and material choices of the manufacturer, and we take full responsibility when the inevitable failures occur. A note to the RV makers: I'm not an idiot, and I'm not alone. You're putting yourselves out of business. People know a con when they see one. Enjoy this time you're in where there are still a few suckers left willing to get robbed for your crap product. It won't last much longer.

Do they have a location down in florida?
@EatSeeRV2 жыл бұрын
There are Flex Armor shops in Florida but they are run independently from AZ RV Roof. We got our first one done in Florida.
@rickgomm74322 жыл бұрын
Definitely an excellent job but too pricey for most people just to do a roof of your RV that you only use six or seven times a year at most
@EatSeeRV2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how you look at it. A lot cheaper than having to buy a new RV because yours gets wood root in the roof. I do get it's not for everyone. But it's just as worth while of an investment for weekend warriors too.

I would like to buy a new rv with a Flex Armor before it left the factory. Since a TPO Roof cost about $10K to replace.
@EatSeeRV Жыл бұрын
It's a bummer it's not an option at the factory but at least it's an optional upgrade after.
@thinkford Жыл бұрын
K thats not bad I was thinking 10-12K for a job like that!

Everything companies like Flex Armor cover is a corner that the manufacturers cut. That's shameful considering the price of a new RV.

It's a bummer this type of product isn't offered with new RVs but glad it's an option

Really nice job and wise decision $6,500.00 for the protection and integrity of an RV roof is nothing when you've invested $30-100++K for your rig! I had a 25'TT years ago and it sustained some major water damage. I sold it and vowed I would NEVER own another rv ever again. I solved the problem by buying a cargo trailer and converted it into a camper and now NO MORE ROT! I sealed the all aluminum one piece roof with Krazy Seal that comes with a 50 year warranty against leaking I'll be dead by the time that 50 years comes around!! 😂😂😉😉

That's awesome. Water damage with RVs is the worse. Glad you found a solution 😃

Wow. Guess I shoulda had mine done 3-4 years ago. Quote was for $3600 for 16.5 ft.

Haha yes! That'd be. A steal. Although it might not be too far off considering you have a much smaller roof than ours and we got $1000 in fans and such

Now, when are you planning on selling this one??? Im very interested due to the roof work done for me😉. Safe travels and happy trails! P.S. I still like your MO toy hauler. That got me and the wife a toy hauler bug and now on the process of looking for our 43 feet MO to continue our fulltime rv living with our camping gears and machine to home in the toy hauler section😃.
