thats quite specific, why do you want to do this type of project so much? It doesnt sound like a passion project, maybe there are more in-demand or higher paying things you can do

Freelancers who do that end up struggling to get jobs because they get bad reviews. It's like ebay, you might get a bad experience when you pay someone occasionally, but you can trust people to do the right thing most of the time because it's in their best interest to provide satisfactory services. I would advise only hiring freelancers with experience and a good job success score to reduce your level of risk if you plan to be a client on Upwork.

UpWork and Fiverr never did it for me. Meanwhile, someone I know with a crappy profile immediately got gigs 😂

Yeah... seing other people succeed so quickly and easily while I struggled at the beginning angered me... at least the difficulty forced me to learn new skills so I guess I ended up better off because of it. I hope you get to experience the same thing :)

Actually, Upwork is a new name they chose when Elance (founded in 1999) merged with odesk (founded in the early 2000s). The name Upwork is new, but the freelance marketplace platform is a lot older.
