Great video. I am American who has lived here in Sucre for more than 20 years. You captured much of the beauty of the city, and discussed some of the downsides. Will be keeping an eye on your other videos. Thanks!

It’s definitely been our trickiest one to navigate so far in South America but we’re excited for the next adventures here! Tobias is so lovely, we’re so glad we got to see Sucre with him!

Ok you've sold me on the chocolate 🍫 shop... although I am a pretty easy sell when it comes to chocolate 😆 I was happy to hear that Airbnb responded to your prior situation, hopefully noone else will have to go through what you did.

When visiting new places don’t expect to find the same standards of living you have in your home country, you should explore the place with an open, positive attitude. There’s good stuff everywhere.

Do you have a blog where you've written about your experience in South America? I'm curious how you compare the different countries you've visited.

Sorry to say this but you saw so little of my city. There's a lot more to visit. I think what matters most when traveling seing the surface of things only is not enough to judge a place, one should get more involved with the people also to capture their insights and charms. But being British I guess it's hard to do that. Thanks anyway.

We still had a great time, but yes it wasn’t the easiest part of our travels. We were so thankful to meet Tobias to learn a little more from a local, he shared a lot about his life growing up in Sucre and explained a lot of things.

Fortun is just a last name that is very common in Bolivia, don´t loose time there, it´s better to go to museums, the main square, have an ice cream in the Bolivar park and eat some empanadas in "El paso de los abuelos", las mejores empanadas (salteñas) de Bolivia, chers!

You might be right but we would rather be honest about our travel experiences than just make a video showing that everything is great just because it’s what people want to hear. It’s actually way easier making the happy travel videos of which we have hundreds ☺️

All I see is a couple making complaints and not really offering much, take your privilege somewhere else perhaps?
@TideKnotTravellers
@TideKnotTravellers Жыл бұрын
We’re not complaining, creators are criticised for not being ‘real’ enough, then criticised for showing the reality. Travel is not always easy and smooth, we show plenty of the highlights but a lot went wrong here so we’re being honest about that. It’s ok if you don’t like it.

Stop supporting Airbnb!!!! Use hotels.
@TideKnotTravellers
@TideKnotTravellers 6 ай бұрын
We use hotels sometimes but will mainly stick with Airbnb’s because they offer what we need that a hotel cannot. We need space to live and cook, not just a single hotel room. Also we try to support small local family business Airbnb’s, we actively avoid any Airbnb that looks to be a large amount of apartments run by a bigger company as we like a smaller independent place.
