They painted it like his contributions were world changing but he had weird theories so he was kinda cast out. Guess he didn't contribute that much.

@@odnewdylee Hey - sorry to misinterpret - I did some reading and he did contribute quite a bit - it was on AC stuff which is what Tesla etc was working on those days - motors and how to distribute long distance AC signals - i am a modern day guy - so like Chris said - we mostly use DC to DC conversion these days for microprocessors and cell phones so his work is "outdated" a bit. You would have to do research to figure out his contribution to the overall field. Hope that helps.

Edison AC Tesla DC You misspoke a few times in this. Transferring power over long distances we use AC power. Every tv, laptop, cell phone is using DC power. AC is converted to Dc in each individual device we all use. They both won in a way. Love these videos

It should be a tie, this kind of technology should be used in it's most efficient form. If ac is better for x, then use it If DC is better for y, then use that Adapt and use whatever works best, you can think of it like an old soup or a plate of wings, you eat the meat and spit out the bone. You take what is beneficial and discard anything that isn't. It doesn't have to be a this or that problem or a war between two sides
