My favourite Jobs fact is when they were coming up with the design for the first Iphone they couldn't decide between glass or plastic screen, with the glass prone to breaking whereas the plastic screen could be scratched. A few weeks before it was due to be shown he went to the team and said we're going with glass, because if a user dropped their phone and it smashed then the customer would feel a sense of responsibility for it. Whereas with the plastic getting scratches Apple would be the one users blamed. 🍎

As someone who was involved in the technology revolution in the Bay Area, despite the humor, all your facts are right on. However, the Mac idea came from a visit to PARC labs, a division of Xerox research. Developers there had created a graphical OS interface based on Unix that could be controlled by a mouse. Xerox at time decided not to use this for their own computers (they made mainframes back then) and gave Apple license to use it. Later on in the 90's Bill Gates (Microsoft) infused Apple with 240 million dollars to keep them afloat while Jobs took charge and revamped Apple's product line. I really got a kick out of all of your jokes. You are one of my favorite comedians. It is a joy to watch you tell a joke because you get such a kick out them. Your smile and humor make my day. Keep the good stuff coming!

My fiancé was on life support for 5.5 months (and he was conscious btw - which I didn''t realize was even possible) after going to the ER for what turned out to be pancreatitis. So I can tell you maybe why he didn't want the surgery. And I learned this by talking to some of the best surgeons in the US at his hospital. THEY don't suggest the surgery and will do literally any and every thing they can to avoid it. The surgery often (statistically proven) increases the odds of the patient dying and pancreatitis, let alone pancreatic cancer, has a 70% fatally rate right out of the gate. hes surgeon told me that the pancreas is a lot like the old Jello pudding commercial. You let the pudding set overnight and in the morning the top of it is like a skin but under it the pudding is soft and easy to handle? That's the pancreas he said. Except it is liquid inside so there are very few situations where they can remove any of the bad stuff without the inside pouring out and basically sending all the organs into a toxic shock. And it's almost impossible to close back up because well, it's pudding. And tbh he said, PC is one of if not THE, fastest of the cancers that takes ya. 4 months on average he said. My guy made it thru the surgery but passed 3 weeks later. Please please please, if you are a drinker on the reg, which is totally fine by this Irish gal, just know that you have to ask your GP when you go in for your annual checkup and blood work, to run a separate panel for the pancreas. It's undetectable with the standard blood work panel. There's very little awareness about it and it doesn't get much attention from the ACS. I thought my peeps and me just had to worry about the liver! And if you start having ANY of the symptoms, go to the ER IMMEDIATELY. The quicker they can catch it the better the odds of successfully treating it which IS absolutely possible. I wish I had known about it. Maybe I could have spotted the symptoms sooner. Take care of yourselves and each other. XOXO

Actually, the apple logo was an homage to Allan Turing. He deciphered the German's code, made popular by the movie The Imitation Games. The original logo was a rainbow apple with a bite out of it because, when the Germans found out what he did, they poisoned an apple. He took one bite of ot and died...also he was gay hints the rainbow.
