I wouldn't if it's significantly cheaper. DJI 3's are massively overpriced, their prices are artificial and don't decline over time like normal prices do so they're clearly a rip. Edit: It's not significantly cheaper, it's 100-200 cheaper that's it. Not taking the risk.

100% this. No way I’d ever consider going with an unknown/unproven companies product over an established company like DJI just to save a little money. You get what you pay for. I believe DJI is moving the Air 3 sideways in order to bring out an Air 3s or Air 3Pro. I think they are slowly learning their lesson about quick releases. One example is the Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro. The 3 Pro got left in the dust. This way they are able to deplete their stock of earlier versions without undermining their price structure. IMHO.

But if I can buy an Air 3 from DJI, with known company support, why would I buy an Air 3 branded as something else from an unknown (to me) company for $100 more?

@@Geeksvana Not how US law works. Unless there’s an amendment before it gets to the floor of congress or it’s added before a vote, they just can’t simply add it later. What’s your opinion to the idea to sell different models with adopted software to the place where they are sold? I means there’s the EASA DJI Air 3 with the C1-certification and a kind of restriction in terms of distance while tracking, speed limit and more like noise level. The EASA-regulations only allows equipment listed by DJI and approved by the regulation agency. Let’s make an example: The prop quards are mandatory in US if you fly indoor. In Europe they are prohibited because they leads to overweight (at least with the Mini-series). The C-labels are not supported in the UK.

if it's the same drone ( or even substantially similar )I would be easily swayed! I've been piloting drones for a few yeas now. I love it, but the newer birds are VERY expensive. I currently have to either fly my company bird to stay current, or for my own drones, I fly the older DJIs. They're simply cheaper.
