Stem cells are the repair teams of a cellular structure and with time the quantity available in a human body is reduced, resulting in stem cell exhaustion, and natural aging with all its potential diseases....adding new stem cells, certainly best from Umbilical cord tissues, as all own stem cells are aged and loose their potency....I am fully with you. Developing an anti-aging concept with such UBC tissue stem cells is what inspires me in Europe, being unfortunately restricted like the US....but a wellness concept without medical claims may be the way out ......wishing you much success

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind comment. So many people don't realize that umbilical cord stem cell therapy is fully available in the US - we just don't use expanded cells for the most part (when expanded cells are used, they are supposed to be used in an IND - Nnvestigation New Drug study)...

Hi Dr. Kong, does cultured umbilical cord MSC change the safety and efficacy of the cells? If so, how much does culturing change things? Looking forward to your replay❤

Dr. Kong; Can you recommend a place I can go to get "Human Umbilical Mesenchymal Stem Cell Injections" that are close to where I live which is Omaha, Nebraska. I have a bad "right knee". The cartilage is a #2 on a scale of 1 to 7. HOPE & PRAY that you will reply and point me in the right direction. Thank You.

Is this the same as an amniotic injection? I was going to get one for pain relief post scar tissue surgery, but I was informed by my doctor that it doesn’t have live cells and he recommended PRP instead. PRP didn’t work.

Amniotic fluid does not contain live cells, and contains mostly growth factors. Umbilical cord stem cells along with the integrative methods we use should be very helpful in your condition.

Is umbilical cord cells same as cord blood cells? Does cord blood have MSCs that are very potent/efficient?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 9 ай бұрын
When people talk about umbilical cord cells, they could be referring to either umbilical cord blood or umbilical cord tissue cells. Umbilical cord blood tends to have very few MSC's, and those MSCs have different properties compared to the umbilical cord tissue MSCs. If you would like to know more details about the differences of these MSCs and Delta little deeper into the science of them, you can watch my video below: Are All MSCs Created Equal? ‪kzbin.info/www/bejne/laTVoKGafrqpd6s‬

Where can I/we find the study showing your product has live stem cells as stated @4:51. Thank you.
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 10 ай бұрын
As I stated in some other videos and podcasts, the FDA frowns upon the mention of live cell counts, because they believe that talking about live cells in a product is implying that any clinical benefits are a result of the metabolic activity of these live cells, and such implication, in FDA's eyes, constitutes the notion that these cells are thus functioning as "drugs" and will need to be regulated as such, meaning that these product will need to go through FDA-approved IND studies (Investigational New Drug studies) which are difficult to obtain and costly. Many companies already received warning letters for disclosing live cell counts. So companies' hands are tied - a very unfortunate situation, which allows some unscrupulous companies to make unsubstantiated claims, while other good companies cannot show what their products truly contain. Hope this helps giving some nuanced understanding of the field.

@@JoyKongMD Thank you for your reply and I do recognize the position. I am, however, a bit confused. You mention the “FDA frowns upon the mention of live cell counts”, but yet you make that claim in almost all of your videos. Obviously, this one included. You also mention “Many companies already received warning letters for disclosing live cell counts”. The FDA has sent Warning Letters to many tissue companies over the years, but I do not recall, nor can I locate, one being sent for the disclosure of live cell counts. Perhaps you might be kind enough to share? I for one am most interested in learning the details. I'm sure you can appreciate the skepticism. If a physician is going to make public claims about a therapy/product/service they are providing, in order to maintain or establish credibility, they need to provide evidence to support that claim. If not, they should refrain from doing so.
@JoyKongMD

@@bobsacamano2435 I cannot agree more with you!!! I have heard of such warning letters from people who are pros in the stem cell field but I have not personally engaged in activities of actively digging up such letters. I agree with healthy skepticism and I myself have plenty of it. Appreciate your persistence and your attention to my channel.

@@JoyKongMD so has the FDA ever contacted you, when you’ve published videos like these claiming that you use live cell products in your clinic?
@JoyKongMD

No I have not. Stem cell therapy does rely on the diverse and remarkable properties of the cells, and yes, the fact that cells are alive is the reason they can produce all the signals to promote healing, whether we want to admit or not. Scientific studies have proven that over and over again. I am an educator, and I'm here to give people the science.

Is it a possibility that the umbilical cord stem cells could regenerate connective tissue in the face that has been lost not do to aging but trauma/toxic chemicals ? It seems like the cells would be able to"sense" where to rebuild in areas that are missing the normal structure/ECM components.
@JoyKongMD

There's definitely some truth to that. Some local disturbance to promote the healing response can accelerate such repair.

Are there Mesenchymal cells in cord blood? If so, is it enough to fight inflammation?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 8 ай бұрын
There's a very tiny amount of mesenchymal stem cells in the cord blood. Cord blood has very similar cell composition to bone marrow, and bone marrow contains 0.01% to 0.1% of mesenchymal stem cells.

I was about to book a trip to Mexico for stem sell therapy-- should I not? What is the difference in cost?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 9 ай бұрын
Mexico will tend to be cheaper, but it depend on where you go. However, as far as I am aware, they all use expanded cells - cells grown in a culture medium to large numbers, which tend to produce more side effects. Please listen to this video of my discussing the difference of what we do in the US vs overseas locations (Panama and Mexico or Columbia, Bahamas etc - all tend to use expanded cells): ‪Is Stem Cell Therapy in Panama better?‬ kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZTGq4CnjZeVp5Y
