Im not really a fan of the pop up camera, it looks kinda weird. I would say that their claims about the mechanism might be true, but yeah... Kudos to Vivo for making something different at least.

@NVAU I do think it's kind of genius though in order to make the total bezel-less screen. The camera almost reminded me of my dreaded electric seats in my car and how slow it moved. I Hate that! lol Maybe the camera popping out faster or embedding one in the screen itself and when you want to use it, a notch appears. hmmmmm what do i know. 😜👍

Uh, sorry to disappoint, but it's not 2-3 years. More like 2-3 months. Both Mi Mix 3 and OnePlus 6T have sort of promised to do just that. Since Vivo Nex does it for like 600-700 euro, remove the DAC and in-screen FP sensor and you can fit the same thing in sub-600 euro pricetag.

but the good thing about big companies is that they are stable companies and if something went wrong they can sustain huge loses and can recall their unites immediately.. remember when samsung called back all of the note 7 units becouse of battery exploding issues? small companies cannot do that. small companies cannot give you such a gurrentee...if millions of nex units are sold and tomarrow if some issue occurs..vivo is not gona replace or recall their mobiles..thats why i prefer a bit expensice phones but from samsung only..

Lean Center It doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. It relies on face unlock, where the camera needs to slide up every time you unlock the phone. 50k is probably not enough to do so?

Use Vivo phones and you'll know why. They'll talk big about innovative features but the experience will kill you. The software is so bad in Vivo phones. Never gets another android update. Thee existing UI is pretty old fashion as well. They may give you a pretty looking phone with luring featured on paper but you'll eventually find searching for another phone after using a Vivo phone for a while.

These are steps in the right direction. It was only weeks ago people were saying "better get used to the notch", "notch is here to stay". Guess what, we hated the notch and they're trying to get rid of it! I'm still concerned at only having a front finger print sensor...I never unlock my phone when it's flat on a desk...that seems...insane to me, but it's all steps forward. Like the new OPPO which is very similar but with arguably a more stylish solution to top camera and sensors

Thanks Arun once more for the video. You mentioned that more than 50 000 actuations were performed for that camera. Fyi l hate that noise. My concern is: do you remember how sliding phones scratched on the sliding parts with time and they also became somehow a little resistant, what does vivo say, is the camera casing made of graphite and is scratched resistant ¿

You can now Change the launcher on the Chinese version. Just create an account on their website then sign in on the phone then go to settings>more settings>security > allow default launcher to be replaced confirm your account password then set the launcher
