The Truth About Waves Plugin Bundles (Are They Worth It???)

What I would like from Waves is to make custom bundles. Where you choose what you want and give you the "bundle discount." Even if it's 2 or 3 plugins, you'd get at least 3 or 4 dollar (or whatever currency) off.

I'm all waves right now. I haven't paid for WUP because my computer is the same since 2015. SSL e, ssl comp, j37 tape, NLS, one knob pumper, Berzerk, CLA Sphere, HComp, Kalaeidescope .Each was 29 and buy two get one deal. Thanks Waves

If that’s the case, the same can be said about any bundle someone may get (ex. NI Komplete 13, etc) . I think when it comes to producing wide ranges of music, i like to have options and explore; so it’s nice to have those extra plugins even if they’re not always my go to’s. It’s all about options for me. But thanks for the video though. Respect.

What’s great about WAVES vs Ozone is the stability of the plug-ins. Ozone is a coy hog whereas the studio rack in WAVES seems to be less intense no matter how many plugins I throw in there. but yes, there are tons of stuff I will never use in WAVES.

Better of with the cracks in this situation. Waves are a nightmare. One minute they work then for no reason at all they wont connect or your license can’t be found. Just not worth the hassle

Yo Sumn, got a question as far as DAWs. While currently I use LMMS which is nice for a free one, but it's pretty crash prone on Windows. Any recommendations of some to look into or what you feel would e worth investing into? I know there's more than FL Studios out there but I'm curious to know what would be a good one that can set me off with some nice plug-ins and presets to use along with the plug-in stuff you recommended

the thing is that the point u make when saying i use ozone 9 or i use Fabfilter is irrelevant you're talking about pluggins that cost more than the Horizon Bundle dude ! Also don't sleep on MV2 just try it on anything acoustic or a vocal. If somone don't have ozone or fabfilter budget waves is defenitely a banger

I agree as a newbie when I bought Gold at the time I bought it for the wrong reasons. After dealing with waves and having more experience I would urge cherry pick waves plugins, don't buy bundles. Don't get me wrong I have no beef with waves products just the feeling you never really own something you paid for from them.

But you keep the license forever on the computer you first installed the plugin on, correct?

@@ellooch7696 It's a funny one. They don't upgrade unless you buy new license. If don't upgrade your firmware or your DAW you don't need to worry. However if you do and have renewed your waves package along the way watch out. A nice guy at waves helped me out, instead of renewing all my licenses I added 2 plugins which renewed my original package at a fraction of cost. Hence why I won't buy from waves again.

@@ellooch7696 True I've had mine for longer. I understand they think we should pay for work involved in keeping up with software changes. Because I understand that I wont be updating my current system, unless I really have to, I'll be letting waves plugins I have become useless when logic can't use them due to updates. As I say cherry pick to keep costs down. Correct me please if I'm wrong. The individual plugins in the package have to be updated at a cost to each not the Gold package as a whole? Peace & Love.
