I started wearing hijab a month ago and the feeling it gives me is indescribable. I feel honored even in the face of people who met that decision with an underwhelming reaction. It put so much into perspective, too. It’s like hijab chose for me the distance and proximity of people in a way I didn’t anticipate and I have zero complaints. As of beauty, I feel more beautiful in a certain different way that I don’t quite know how to describe but it’s a type of feeling of beauty that removes the “sexy” from the equation and leaves you feeling like a valuable person that never want to be looked at with desire again. Alhamdulillah a million times.

@@LS-cj8jd subhanallah recently and especially after hijab I started to truly believe that this has always been a manufactured feeling/need that makes you feel like you’re going to get both affection and survival but really brings nothing but ruins. After hijab I felt very close to fitra and it unlocked a version of myself that I knew.. KNEW existed but couldn’t tell how to access it and ironically I tried to become that version by wearing even less layers. That’s how much we’ve been hypnotized to think that the solution to peace is anywhere but where it actually is. I cannot speak for you and whether the peace is going to kick in as quickly as it has for me BUT I can tell you it WILL kick in eventually because fitra is fitra. I wish you peace sister ❤️

I would like to say that as a hijabi from the age of 12 , months before sep 11th, it has not been easy! However, it truly is a blessing despite the struggles and the tears. It’s such an honour to be blessed by this gift. A duty to fulfill the modesty of the soul not just the physical hijaab. It literally protects you from fitna. There is and will always still be fitnah, but trust me when I say that when you full-fill wearing it as Allah has commanded , it pushes you (or should) to act in modest ways. Protection from fitnah.

@smallginkgo-so6ce First of all, pressuring them too much is very bad. You should first encourage it, and from the people I've met, they said that at first, it was a struggle, but later on, they got used to it and eventually had found a way to live with it. I understand that you feel that there is pressure to wear it for women, and there is a perfectly good reason as to why they wear it. Some even love to keep it on! (You can search it up, and from a Muslim speaker please, not some white guy wearing a mask.) Second, you don't always wear hijab (despite the memes😭), as you can stay without it with family and other women. The Mosque is separated as having a woman shoulder-to-shoulder to you, and a woman in front of you bowing can be awkward and distracting, hence the separation. Thirdly, dating is a topic that is heavily restricted in Islam and is considered blasphemous. It is described to bring unhappiness, and it shouldn't be allowed, especially on children who are innocent. It can also lead to child-birth, which causes even more unhappiness. Trust me, it is not good. We find it better to just propose if you fall in love.

But as I read the quran it helps me to understand the reason behind wearing because it's Allah commanded me to do. For me every time I wear I feel protected and we'll preserve. Now I couldn't imagine my self with out it. Alhamdulillah May strengthen the Muslima to understand the beauty of wearing one. Allahuma Ameen

Two reasons Which made me hijabi 1. During migration there was a lady roaming here and there madly ,searching her lost daughter. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w inquired about her from followers. They told him, she is just searching for her daughter. Prophet asked why is she not wearing head cover. Followers said she is non muslim. Prophet gave them his shawl , and ordered them to cover her head. 2. Muslim lady's dress for burial has two extra piece of clothes compared to males. One is for covering head and other is for covering chest. . . . How i can claim my love for Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w if i dont obey him. He covered a non muslim lady and i being a umati and muslim, not wearing hijab. Secondly, if my body and hair is going to be rotten in soil, still Allah has ordered to cover a Muslim lady's dead body's chest and head, why i dont cover it while m alive.

My wife recently became a revert to Islam. I am not Muslim. We went to Friday prayers so I could experience it and see what she had been going to do. I did not enjoy the prayers or sermon. It sat very uneasily with me that my wife had become attracted to this. When I came out of the men’s prayer room and saw her waiting for me in a hijab and abaya it saddened me. But then she gave her shahada and I watched/listened. Supporting her as she wanted even as I knew I had just lost her. Thus, to me the hijab only represents loss and sorrow.

This breaks my heart that you felt so uneasy during the prayer/ sermon. I know that something that’s foreign can be so hard to digest, especially when it’s a change your significant other is making without you. It’s hard to understand and even harder to accommodate to such a change in a life and routine you’ve built together. I trust that you chose your wife because you adore the person she is, her mind, her heart, and trusted her to navigate life with you. Although It might seem like you’ve lost something, I implore you to keep trying to learn and understand more. Even if your feelings don’t change (which I suspect they will if you really are open to It), It will mean the world to her. I pray that this transition gets easier for the both of you. And to your wife, welcome to Islam ❤️

@@daniajaward4591 While I appreciate your sympathy my feelings will not change. I have been a deep student of theology on a personal and professional level for just over two decades now. I have helped Muslims, Christians, Jews, Pagans, Buddhists and others exercise their freedom of faith. I have read all of their holy scriptures and attended their services and ceremonies. It wasn’t discomforting because of its unfamiliarity to me but because of what it meant for my relationship that the person I am supposed to be the most connected to is attracted to a worldview and lifestyle that I disagree with strongly on a personal and visceral level. Thank you for your welcome but I am not a part of Islam and never will be.

@@warriorworkouts5397 I'm in a slighlty similar situation. But I have to admit when people say they are " a student of theology" although they may have looked into the religions, I wonder to what depth they have studied each and what criterion they use to assess this. There is always an imbalance or a lack of a systematic approach as well as understanding how to go about studying each religion. I'm an autodidact of theology myself and although I am not cemented in my conclusion as of yet, I must admit that Islam is increasingly appearing to be the truth. Channels like Blogging Theology and Ansari podcast as well as the MuslimHub has been tremendously useful. Cambridge Muslim college is also a great resource for reconciling being Muslim with being British (or a westerner).But the most important thing when it comes to religion is not what the laymen or influencers understanding of the religion but the scholars. Once I realised that, I stopped making the same mistakes over and over again trying to understand the epistemology of religion. As always though, I'm open to everything to find the truth. What are the main points you are thinking of that deter you from religion?

Because so many people believe that not wearing hijab is not a big deal, we can't even talk about how one should wear hijab properly. What's sad is that female scholars often times don't wear hijab according to the Qur'an too! The famous ayat that says, "draw your khimar over your chest" (24:31). Why do so many sisters not cover the part of their body that men find so attractive and that which God has so bluntly commanded that we cover? Or how so many sisters don't even cover their hair and neck while wearing hijab. It's become such a norm that the one's who wear it properly are labeled extremist and are ostrasized by the majority because that one sister brings out their insecurities. Instead of admiring and aspiring to be like the sister who wears hijab properly, we choose to exclude her from our social gatherings or pressure her to wear hijab the way we do with makeup, earrings, heels, nail polish and tight ass, see-through abayas. Astaghfirllah. May Allah guide the ummah. Ameen 🤲

It´s also the other way around. Some sisters not accepting you into their "gang" because you are pious, but not wearing hijaab. It´s like, without hijaab, you cannot win their "approval". They only see sisters as hijaab vs. no hijaab. Following a command of Allah shouldn´t make us self-righteous and excluding. Otherwise, I fully agree with you sis! Especially in Desi society, one who covers properly is seen as "over the top". Desi society is just awful in so many ways. They´re always purporting to love Islam, but then showing their insecurities as soon as someone truly takes Islam seriously and prioritizes it. Old generation mothers especially...they nearly seem to hate hijaab. Especially forcing married daughters not to wear it in events when they arrive with their husband. They have this notion, that once a woman is with her husband, now she can wear the sarees with the tummy showing...as if all other men go blind once somebody gets married 🙄. Marriage for them meant "Now you can cut your hair, show your jewellery, wear the clothes you want and look MODERN and attractive". It´s a status game in front of other women, and to show "I am married, so now I´ve truly arrived". The next milestone is always "Now I have a son, so now I am Someone of value". Yuck, Desi society! You could be dying everyday married, but in other women´s eyes, you are "Someone" because you are a wife. Truly abhorrent cultures! They live and die for PEOPLE´S impressions and for material show-off.

Hijab is just a piece of fabric, which is made by humans. So did Allah just come on earth to tell u that? He created your body (if u believe he did) not your clothes, in that sense men should also wear a hijab, why do only woman have to cover up? Is there a gender bias or are only men allowed to give woman “lusty” eyes, what if a woman is lustful, so men should also start wearing hijab in that sense….Tbh I don’t want to offend u guys but all of these religious things are created by humans not by your belief of God, because God doesn’t discriminate between male and female, he doesn’t want people to be cruel, to kill goats and what not.

I was born and raised in Germany and I had teachers and strangers come up to me and grill me (a child!) about hijab and accuse me of being forced to wear it. I had people in public stare at me with disgust or pity all the time. Plus as a teenager, seeing all the girls at school get attention from guys and me never getting that made me desire to take it off. Now I‘m 24 and Allah knows that maybe if I had never taken it off I would have avoided so many harmful things in my life. I regret it but it is very difficult to convince myself to put it back on. I always cry when I watch videos like this because I know that I want to wear it and I know its the right thing to do. I‘ve been to Umra and there I even wore a face covering. I love modesty and it makes me feel like nothing else. But when I return to my daily life I just can’t imagine myself doing it. I say when I get married I will put it on. @user-eg1hs5qv8p hey, I Iive in Germany too. And I have started to wear the Hijab when I turned 14, today I am 19 and I completely can relate to all of the struggles you have been through. I feel like for us women living in the west the Hijab is one of the greatest trials. We are surrounded by pretty girls getting all of that attention, who are being desired by men, complimented by everyone and experience better treatment everywhere. No racism, no discrimmination, their lifes seem perfect. My sister in Islam, I personally have struggled so much with my hijab, had and still have phases where I fail to dress properly with my Hijab, I always try to remind myself that this worldly life is temporary. The people, the beauty, the attention.. all of that will fade away, already in this life beauty fades away as you age. I tell myself I am ready to fight against my personal desires in this world because I know the most merciful and compassionate has something better awaiting for me. In Jannah we will never grow old. We will appear in such beauty that we are not even able to imagine. Nothing will be mandatory for us anymore including the Hijab. And this is what is the real life we should aspire to reach. Dunya will feel like a prison to the believer, this is what the messenger Muhammad SAW has told us. My final words to you my beautful sister, I hope that my words could calm you and i pray that Allah SWT gives you the courage and strength to wear the Hijab. Amin. Be strong. No you are never alone, we stand as an Ummah.

Im conflicted on this video. On one side, it's kind of helpful. On the other, it seems belittling to women's worries. And another thing, is hijab meant to hide beauty? Did Allah say that? I thought the purpose was to be identified as a Muslim? Confused here. I don't feel ugly with the hijab lol sometimes I prefer the look so idk. Another thing is, the hijab can be so uncomfortable physically. I've worn mine for almost 2 years and I am still trying to find what works for me. I have a telework job so I dont have to wear it a lot, but when I do it causes a lot of pain on my head and headaches. Currently I'm experimenting with not using undercaps and loosening my hair underneath. Either way, it's not perfect. Maybe I am too sensitive, but it legit causes me pain. I cannot be out in public too long with it or it will hurt. I've avoided visiting my in laws at times to avoid having to wear the hijab for hours. Today I wore it for 5 hours and almost 8 hours later my scalp is still tender. There's just so much more to this topic than portrayed in this video.

It is not to be identified as a muslim But what it’s actually for from what I know is to hide your beauty butt that does not mean it takes your beauty away at all but it would be more like (from being like um sexy to pretty)
@Amila-ym7ny
@Amila-ym7ny 3 ай бұрын
@@Pardon_me11 There is no mention of the hijab's purpose to hide one's beauty. "O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized ˹as virtuous˺ and not be harassed." 33:59. "To be recognized as virtuous" aka a Muslim and as a woman that has no interest in being flirted with or messed with. It doesnt mean she is less beautiful or her beauty is decreased, it just means she's signifying her values (in this case her islamic values) Please let me know where it mentions hiding one's beauty. I think this is a common misconception for some reason. A beautiful woman is still beautiful even in a hijab.

Hi sisters! ❤ I wanted to say if you wear hijab, that’s great! But please be careful, many sisters wear it in the wrong way. inform yourself on how to wear hijab the right way on the internet. Hijab has to cover all of your hair, neck, and chest. Please also don’t wear make-up when wearing the hijab and don’t make your head look bigger. ❤ you shouldn’t make your hijab look prettier, it supposed to cover your beauty, not to make you prettier than you actually are.❤ remember, be respectful and kind, avoid making sins.❤

I feel hijab is a journey, you don’t through your whole wardrobe out and it’s hard to change everything at once, but even if you show a little hair or wear tight clothes but more modest each day, people will still mock your effort. I don't consider her any LESS because she doesn't cover. Her HEART is beautiful. I just really wish people of ALL faiths around the world would first look to what is in a person's heart, rather than religion. Shukran for allowing me to share.

I am 24yrs old, I have been living in a non Muslim country for the past 12 years. few months ago I really wanted to wear the hijab, and I shared my thoughts with people around me, unfortunately it was a big mistake, no one truly encouraged me. I know I shouldn’t be waiting for encouragement from anyone. But Nafs and Shaytan.. especially when the video mentioned “there are worse sins than not wearing hijab” a lot of people started telling me: well before you do hijab do this and that.. or that there are a lot of obligations before hijab.. or know your Deen better then hijab comes.. Astaghfiru Allah.. kindly pray for me to take this step asap Insha’Allah🤲🏻

Saying "belittling disobedience is Shaytan's favorite tactic, and it's a sign of arrogance."... feels like an accusation/personally attack. We can use other words to describe the severity of the situation without criticizing someone and using the word arrogant. It's like calling someone fat and then thinking that'll inspire them to exercise
@Khwaab
@Khwaab 4 ай бұрын
But "belittling disobedience" is honestly such a good choice of words. At least for me, as a non-hijaabi. I appreciate it. The rest, I agree...it does not have to be arrogance. It may be fear, insecurity (feeling ugly with hijaab), wishful thinking ("It can´t be more important than my character?") and more. Another thing people seem to forget is raw guidance and tawfeeq from Allah swt. Wearing the hijaab is connected to barakah in one´s Deen, I believe, and how ready one truly is to walk the path of "difficulty" (at least difficult if you think about dunya). I don´t think any sister not wearing hijaab thinks highly of herself, and is in arrogance...you´re onto something there. Allah will give someone tawfeeq to wear hijaab...it is not just our "choice", I think sometimes. Allah honours the sisters, but it certainly doesn´t mean that the rest are "unblessed". In fact, they may be VERY blessed in their character and even modesty (some hijaabis are just...astaghfarullah, not even wearing proper khimaar). Anyway, what do I know...?

But it is arrogant to think that we know what’s better for us than Allah does, is it not? Allah SWT commands us to do things not because it benefits Him but because it benefits us, and by going against what Allah has commanded and not trying to do it you’re basically showing that you think that you know what’s better for yourself… “It’s difficult for me to wear hijab because… (whatever reason)” but it’s easy when you have to make salah or go to the masjid on Eid so is it really that difficult or are you just more concerned about what people think and how you feel in this dunya than what Allah SWT thinks?

@@Starzig123 I stand to be corrected constructively. The Awrah of a man is between his navel and his knees,and as for the knee and navel themselves, they aren't part of the Awrah...There are several opinions surrounding this which you can ask a trusted scholar of Islam. Whether or not Muslim boxers adhere to this dress code is a matter between them and Allah,we try our best not to judge as Muslims,as we all have struggles that are peculiar to us,what we should do is to ask Allah to forgive them if they've erred, and guide them. As regards Imam Omar Suleiman congratulating Belal,what do you think he should have done?..He is a Muslim first and foremost,and if he did something commendable such as winning,then he should be congratulated. Wearing a hijab gives Muslim women immense freedom‐‐not conforming to any beauty standard or subject to unwelcome attention. It has no bearing on or affect our competitive level, performance or intellect. Wearing a hijab should accompany wearing modest, Loose-fitting outfit, as both complement each other. A beautiful god- fearing person is a manifestation of both internal and external attributes. May Allah SWT bestow and guide our sisters with wisdom, steadfastness and sincerity. Amin

Great clip, jazak´Allah khayr! MUCH love to all our sisters out there, wearing hijaab but also those struggling. Sisters are being rejected, side-lined and bashed for wearing hijaab. "Muslim" families trying to hinder them, Muslim families trying to force them to wear it, Muslims trying to guilt-trip them to wear it, Islamophobes trying to intimidate us not to wear it, "Muslim" men (that don´t find hijaab beautiful) trying to convince marriage-prospects to take it off, Muslims dismissing pious sisters based off of them not wearing it....the list is long and all sides seem to hate women´s autonomy and right to self-reflect. Here´s for wishing for ONE day insh´Allah, when Muslim pages post just as fervously about "Lowering the gaze" for brothers, and "Focusing on your own character, instead of focusing on women´s hijaab". It´s like our communities think that staring men is much less a problem than sisters without hijaab. And as if us wearing the hijaab will magically make the droves of men following Insta-baddies and O.F somehow stop their activities and start liking covered Muslim women. 🙄I have tried wearing burqa, STILL men would stare. I mean, I could be a MAN walking around, but they stare because they assume that it´s a woman in there...sigh. The inner sickness that is about harassing women and seeing them as objects will RARELY be addressed by Muslim pages. Needless to say, I won´t be holding my breath. Before anyone comes commenting "Why do you have to compare?". Would you ever leave out women´s hijaab in a clip about men needing to lower the gaze? Hah...didn´t think so 😏. This ummah will never hold men accountable, for anything. That is our way, and why we are infamous (but in denial of our own part played in the world-wide impression of us). I rest in the comfort that ALLAH WILL. I would have left long ago if I didn´t have hope in Allah swt. I admit, I am Muslim only because of Allah, and Allah alone. The majority of this ummah feels unjust, negligent, ubothered about sisters and downright hateful towards girls and women (for many, even their mothers hate the daughters and rather love the sons committing haraam than the pious daughters). There, I said it....astaghfarullah, may all my sisters out there hold onto Allah as the Internet is completely flooded by sister bashing by "Muslim" podcasters and proud Red-Pillers hailing men who have made a living out of selling women (and never will you see any scholar mentioning that in their lectures). I feel like the "burden" of keeping up Islam is on women. The men are afforded to take their time, look around, play a little....and then magically remember Islam again at 38 years of age when their bones are beginning to hurt (and even then, they see it as their right to go and ruin a virgin, when they themselves are NOTHING even remotely a virgin). We Muslim sisters no longer have only one hater; the Islamophobes. Now we´re openly targeted by our "brothers" too. Hasbunallaho wa ne´mal wakeel.

I am also a revert and felt the same kind of struggles before I put on the hijab- What helped me was this: Before the start of Ramadan I bought a few scarves in neutral shades that would match almost all clothes that I wore and I made a commitment to Allah SWT, I made a dua and said that I would wear the hijab for the 30 days of Ramadan and on the first day (the first week actually) it felt really awkward, people looked at me and to those who asked questions and I would tell them “It’s a holy month where I fast and I made a resolution to wear the hijab because I want to do this month properly (fasting from all sin)” and every time I felt insecure about it I would remind myself why I was doing it and say to myself, it’s just for a month I can do this. I’d ask Allah to make me feel comfortable and by the end of the month I felt so good. Not only because I actually wore the hijab for month but because I knew that the good deed was going to be multiplied and also I was comfortable wearing it by the end of the month and because everyone was already used to seeing me wear it it made it easy to continue wearing it. Yes I've had to defend my reasons for wearing it but honestly everything that has happened in my life since then has had SO much blessing in it.
