Oh, I'm definitely not doubting it! I've followed him for quite awhile, through Warped Tour to KZbin Beauty Guru, and I am a true fan. I just was making a heartfelt statement about the new hair. Erin Masengale considering he has a big makeup brand himself and does makeup more than the average person I think he knows what he’s doing. He’s been doing this for years and he knows what he’s doing and the eyeshadow pallet has just too much fall out. It doesn’t matter if you are a mua or not, I’m sure not everyone buying the pallet is gonna be an mua and this eyeshadow pallet and their company in general isn’t directed towards only makeup artists, if that was the case they wouldn’t be making as much. Not to mention he formulates (or at least does some of the formulating) in his eyeshadow pallets so he owns a whole brand therefore that is even more than a makeup artist considering he makes makeup and not just uses it and does it on other people, celebrities, etc... He just gave it a fair try and reviewed it like a bunch of other makeup products

So...I really wanted this palette due to the colors in it, but I didn't want to pay $42 for colored dust particles. So instead I got it at Marshall's in the way back for half the price, and can safely say it's worth about that price. It's not a bad palette by any means, and I do like the colors, but it's dustier than all hell and it's tricky to work with.

It was because he didn't set the concealer, so the wet parts of the concealer made it darker. Sorry I love Jeffree, but that was his fault. Every other beauty guru knows to set the concealer before they but the eyeshadow on.

That's what happens when they put a ton of talc, which grabs onto moisture and turns a different color and then fades in other places. They tried to cheap out by doing that ☹️

I'm honestly really disappointed with this palette because when I first saw it I was super excited to finally see a palette with a color scheme that I've been looking for. I'm no chemist myself either, but with talc as a main ingredient, that may explain the HEAVY fallout. It is a very loose powder. At first, it absorbs oil. But when there is too much or out of proportion, HELLO fallout and GOODBYE eyeshadow. Mica is used as a "glowing finish." No mica? That may explain why the bright colors didn't POP like we were all expecting it to. AGAIN. Disclaimer. I'm no chemist but that's what I know. Cheers. xo

But maybe if he didn't know he just got lucky with having a good production team who's made quality products from the start helping Jeffree perfect his formulas. I have a feeling Anastasia cut costs on this palette tho tbh which I'm sure is something jeffree wouldn't do cause he's different than other brands since he's also a beauty KZbinr. I heard someone say that this palette has talc as the first ingredient because it was produced in Italy and there if a product contains talc it has to figure as the first ingredient (even if it just has a little bit) for safety reasons.

I ordered mine but when I receive the package they had given me a liquid lipstick instead of my subculture palette. I talked to customer service they wouldn't do anything other than tell me to wait for a restock to re-purchase the palette. Ok, now Jeffree has some of the best blending skills and I feel terrible agreeing but yeah, it looked like a hot mess. Like somehow he made it look good but the color shift and patchiness/blendability was terrible, and I'm honestly concerned at how much fallout Jeffree probably inhaled. If I wanted those colors I would def just buy the Androgeny palette and be happy knowing I was getting a better quality product.

Galaxy Girl just use a very small brush on the bottom of ur eye..u jsut connect ur upper and lower lids then just go half way.and when cutting crease,apply the concealer on the back of ur hand then use a small brush to apply it on ur eyelids.Start from ur inner corner then go gradually on the half of ur eyelid.Dont use too much product on the bottom of ur eye. U just want a shadow effect so just put a little.so always start on the outside corner and slowly,go inwards. Good luck girl!

Honestly, I never got the fuss over Anastasia eyeshadows. I have the Modern Renissance and the Shadow Couture palette, and think they're both shit. Powdery, not pigmented, blend like garbage. I was amped for the Pink Champagne shade in the Shadow Couture palette, and IT. IS. AWFUL. This is what happens on KZbin....one or two influential beauty gurus say they LOVE the MR palette, and all of a sudden, its the palette of the moment, and the best thing ever. If you don't mind powdery, but want pigmentation, go with the LORAC Pro palettes. At least they blend well, and the colors show up.
