I think the company used to make music before they got into dubbing, so although yugioh was plagued with their censorship, the voice acting and soundtrack were pretty fire.

I would advise against watching the third opening until you're at least on ep. 131, because it has a terrible spoiler (openings in general have them in abundance). Granted, as the events of that part are so old, you may already know or figure out what it would spoil, but I'd still recommend on evading it, because it casually reveals one of the biggest surprises of early OP a dozen episodes in advance for some reason.

I think the animators jumped the gun as the Manga readers were already in the middle of the Skypeia arc so not many people were spoiled. They did the same thing in the Wano arc in regards to Zoro

"Wazomono" was a grading system of swords in like 18th or 19th century Japan. They made booklets and such talking about it. Oda, being the history nerd that he is, transplanted it into One Piece, injecting it with the usual shonen battle manga flair. Of course, it's a grade of the sword's make and manufacture, not really its "strength", whatever that could be. In other words, if you're a swordfighting noob, the best possible sword won't make you sword better and you could still lose to a seasoned veteran armed with a sharpened stick. But people like rankings.

And seeing how he still wields it, i wouldnt be surprised if itll be the 1st he turns permanently black, right before facing Mihawk in which fight the Wado will also blacken and in the right next attack Enma. Defeating Mihawk with all 3 black blades in smth like "3 sword style: Devils Chopsticks, Void Onigiri!"

Yeah the lore dumps are what I live for in this series. It may take a long time until questions you might have will be answered(which usually just leads to more questions), but trust me, you'll love how something you thought about so long ago comes back up, or you won't even see it coming at all and be surprised you didn't anticipate it. here's a fun fact about gold roger. oda tends to based most of the characters of one piece off real world people and roger is no different as he is based off not one but two real world pirates. the first is olivier levasseur, aka La Buse or the buzzard in English. he was a notorious Caribbean pirate, who pulled a massive heist of a Portuguese treasure ship. when he was caught, however, there was no trace of the booty with him nor could they get him to tell them where it was. legend has it, on the day of execution, la buse, while on gallows to be hung, threw a necklace into the crowd of onlookers and reportedly said "find my treasure, for the one who understands it". the necklace contained a cryptogram which, if cracked, would lead to his treasure. over 200 years later, the cryptogram has yet to be solved but if it is and the treasure were to be found, it would be the largest pirate treasure ever found, worth somewhere in the neighborhood of over 5 billion US dollars. the second is henry every, a infamous pirate who stole and pillages all up in the Caribbean. he was so famous and so wealthy that he was dubbed "the king of pirates". and unlike a lot of pirates, he actually got away with it. while many members of his crew were caught, every wasn't. he simply vanished from history, presumably retiring with all of his wealth. henry every would go on to influence an entire generation of famous pirates, such as sam bellamy, calico jack rakham, "black bart" roberts, and the most famous pirate in history, edward teach, aka blackbeard.

I saw JackTheBus at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
