Ive had 2 lighters explode on the dash of my work van when left on the black dashboard in the sun ... Never any fire or damage as no source of ignition... Just multiple pieces of plastic. ... The lighters were the cheap brittle clear plastic disposable type

It’s like when they said nothing happens with lighters in tumble dryer , iv had multiple ones pop in pockets in the dryer but just pices of plastic no fire

For lighter in the dryer, they didn't have clothes in there either, which would prevent lighters from breaking....but on a personal note, I've found many lighters in the dryer

Plus: There was a time when disposable lighters did explode in the dryer. Eventually, manufacturers examined the final product with X-rays and discovered some O rings were either faulty or misaligned, allowing fuel to easily dissipate in the air. Production quality has since improved, and such faulty lighters are much rarer to purchase, if they exist on market at all.

One of the recap episodes they did they actually comment that they lost the lease to the M6 workshop, it was either due to neighbour complaints or damages to the property.

I've put a lighter through the dryer and it definitely exploded, not enough to do damage but it was in multiple pieces.

U can fire a rewolver multiple times with one hand motion by spreading out and using every single finger to pull back the lever. Its been done even on youtube. I have no clue if it was with an era acurate gun but it surely is possible to do with correct technique.

lighter in a car acts like a lens if a cheap clear lighter, the gas pressure gets too much, the lighter explodes, had this happen once, now never leave a lighter where sun can get to it. No damage, gas did not explode, just lighter fragments every where. Also clear bottles....even soy sauce which is quite dark, can act as a magnifier. came back to the car after going to the super market to the smell of smoke in the car when i opened the door. soy sauce bottle was behind drivers seat, cushioned on newspaper, soy sauce from Asian stores is better, so got it first, newspaper was smouldering. no pop bottles except covered, no glass flasks without a jacket. yup lucky escape, from what i read, i am a lucky one. thought it was myth, so did not care, now i do. even if you think this does not apply to you, are you going to risk it, no great deals if you listen and take precautions...numbnuts will not, and pets children and your car is at risk
