The real question is, can you whip faster than the other guy can shoot you? After all, that's where most disarming techniques stumble and fall. Given that the dart pads are about 40'' (101.6cm) long, to get out of them before they trigger after 1s, all you have to do is run at 1m/s (in reality, even slower will do, more on that later). That is 3.6km/h. For reference, pretty much anyone can run 6 times faster. Delay 0.05s would on paper mean you'd have to run at 72km/h, but in reality, there is some delay in the pressure plate, wiring, in the solenoid, and most importantly before the ball actually gets to travel from its initial position to the point of possible impact. If all of that takes say 0.15s in total, you can still outrun the thing at 24km/h speed (which is totally doable for most people).

@@christianellegaard7120 if the darts are set ahead of the palettes, you would need only to step and patiently wait for them to discharge in front of you. if they were serious about killing intruders the pads would be set up to a random sequence of forward and backward arrows. the whole doesnt make sense though unless they never wanted to enter their own tomb. like its clearly some kind of idol being proudly displayed, unless there's some sort of off switch or they avoid all the tiles every time they enter for worship haha

I believe that the chasm jump would have worked without the added sandpaper if a different technique was used for the actual jump. What he did in the jump was pull BACK and apply full weight to the whip. What would have worked would be to try a full jump over the chasm, only using the whip for that last little bit of support needed to reach that distance. Another technique that would easily have worked, is to just forget about the whip and superman across the chasm. Its not that big of a distance.
