The poison/Angel Dust controversy was honestly very hurtful. I'm a COCSA and abuse survivor, and when the song came out, it felt like someone finally managed to capture the struggle of living through and managing through that sort of thing. Ive always related to angel dust in some of the ways he coped and acted and it was genuinely distressing when people claimed he was a romanticism of abuse and prostitution. Never once is the abuse shown as desirable or good, but because he is an openly sexual character apparently that means his abuse is portrayed as a positive thing. In the words of someone i knew from tumblr, Angel Dust may not be a real person with real feelings, but talking like this about him can genuinely harm a real survivor who comes across it.

i mean the worst part is that the storyboarding was done by someone who fetishizes angel's struggle, so thats why people dont like how the music video is portrayed. i think it was just really irresponsible of vivzie to let someone like that handle the storyboarding for a serious topic, because its foolish to act like their kink didnt effect how angel dust was portrayed, and i think thats actually super sad. not to say people with kinks cant write heavy stuff in a respectful way, its just the specific person who storyboarded it and other angel dust assault scenes actually fetishizes angel's relationship with his abuser, and i think it sucks not to acknowledge their presence as a storyboarder as part of angel dusts controversy, because its really the worst handling of his character. i dont think the character himself is romanticizing abuse, but vivzie allowing a rape fetishist to work on the show and on specific scenes of sexual assault is really bad, and really calls into question her motives with him.

The Hunicast situation in particular was just awful, these people kept her show popular with hours and hours of unpaid labor, and then she laid them all off because she wanted a "broadway cast" instead of sticking to her indie roots. Also it definitely doesn't reflect well on her that Bosco didn't participate in the pilot cast tribute because he feared for his position as Striker's VA and it was just a dick move for her to specifically tell the Hunicast they couldn't use their Hazbin voices in the stream to raise money for the funeral of Cherry Bomb's pilot VA's fiancée.

She's literally a background character who happens to be trans, I honestly think that that's pretty cool. This might be an unpopular opinion but I feel like a lot of shows that contain trans characters often put them in the spotlight and nowhere else, which is great and way better than having no representation at all, but feels kind of repetitive. Yes, being trans is nothing to be ashamed of, but it doesn't have to be treated as a whole spectacle, which is what I feel a lot of shows tend to do. As a trans person, I think that a show having trans background characters makes the show feel more real and fleshed out. It sends a message to the world that trans folks are just like “normal” (cis) folks - they can be main characters, but they can also be background characters. They're just people at the end of the day. Helluva Boss is the first show that I've seen do this and I think it's really cool. There are probably plenty of other shows and whatnot that have done this, but Helluva Boss is just the one that I saw first. Also fun fact: There can be more trans imps seen in the background in S1E8. The imp that talks to Blitzø when he and Loona are in the van about to leave the party is actually a trans guy. There are probably more in the background of later episodes like S2E7 or S2E1 but Queen Bee's episode is the first one that comes to mind.

Hell I lived that era, funny thing is for all the bad crap said online, many were good people IRL. There is probably a few doctors who have saved people's lives who once threw around slurs, insults and trash talk about violating someone's dead relatives back in the day. Also there is the simple fact that a lot of old school trash talk was NEVER taken seriously by those who understood it, it was meaningless, pointless and just a way to waste time and have a laugh. I took part in it and one thread went full 180 when the OP didn't respond for a while, then announced he just got a call and that is why he hadn't responded..... his parents were in a car accident caused by a drunk driver, dad was injured but going to be fine..... the mother, was not going to make it and he had to go ASAP. Aside from the 10-14yo edgelords who got IP banned for saying nasty crap to OP, everyone else stopped the slur throwing and crap and went into full empathy and sympathy mode. We even had a few cops on there who reached out to the OP wanting him to DM where he lived so they might be able to help, turns out one did and got a friend on duty to pick up OP and drive him with lights and sirens to the hospital. Sadly he was 10 minutes too late to say goodbye. That broke many of us to learn that. After that the thread devolved into people sad for OP, some outright in tears and admitting it, announcing they were going to leave to call their parents, berating drink drivers, hoping and praying for OP to be okay and so on. So just by judging the first 50 pages you would think everyone was monsters of the worst kind, but page 51 onward showed a completely different story.

The story in these replies about the group chat with all the slurs is really weird to me. It wants us to be impressed that people showed basic human empathy when one of their online friends explained that his parents' lives were in danger? Well yeah, friend groups generally tend to care about each other. That's not really saying much. Most humans aren't sociopaths so I don't really know why the chat "going into full empathy mode" at the idea of one of their friends' parents DYING is supposed to get applause. It's weird because it's kind of being done as an attempt to handwave away any concern someone might have about someone's idea of "trash talk" literally just being a list of slurs. I was also around for that era, and none of the groups I was in just hurled slurs at each other lmao. The reason people are suspicious of that kind of banter is because people's genuine subconscious beliefs tend to bleed over into their sense of humor, and that can raise some eyebrows. Like, the fact that your friend group displayed the simplest level of empathy doesn't make the slurs less sus. Being willing to just let slurs fly at the drop of a hat is super weird, and it's weirder to pretend like irony and "trash talk" are incapable of eventually becoming unironic just because one time a friend group acted like an average friend group would.

Vivzie had every right, she also wanted a more broadway-esque cast, and, side note, while Michael Kovach CAN sing beautifully, and he does an amzong Angel voice, he CANNOT sing well while doing the Angel voice. There's a reason Addict was ao heavily Autotuned. It's not because of his talent or anything like that, it's because he had to press on his throat to make the Angel voice. Also, A24 and/or Prime may have desired the recast as well. And also, as mentioned in this video, the pilot was a WIP point in development. As Vivzie's vision grew and changed during production, it's no wonder that the pilot's VAs had interpetations and voices that may not fit her vision anymore. That's okay. So, essentially, what I'm getting from this, is that all of the modern drama is *literally* just twitter being twitter. There's a reason why I've never spent my time on that site... No matter what the media or topic, there will be someone spinning some drama out of the most minor of details. It's very telling that all of these tweets call Vivzie things like "evil". They're so in the weeds about hating this caricature of a person they've crafted in their head, that they'll incorporate literally anything into it to further the narrative. If you're ever at the point where you think someone is genuinely "evil" for some unconfirmed personal drama from 10-12 years ago, then you really need to take a moment to re-evaluate yourself and the time you spend online. It's also really telling that the twitter user who started the chain of drama about glorification of SA in episode 4, specified that they are *not* an SA survivor themselves... Meaning, that as always, it was someone not affected by any of the thing is question, taking charge and defending the real victims, without anyone asking them to.

Every person pointing a finger at vivziepop has three fingers pointing back at themselves. I swear they tell on themselves every time with their accusations; the projection is real.

Why can't people just accept Viv isn't perfect and makes mistakes? People leave her the hell alone!

This is just insane! Viv has EVERY right to defend herself, it's not her fault the world is still sensitive to LIFE SHIT! I'd be worried too if my creations have been treated like it's the devil itself.

Forced drama, in this day an age people always feel the need to dig deep into the past of everyone and criminalize them. Everyone is young and dumb at one point, people grow, change, and clearly vivize has. Should’ve left cancel culture in 2023 but 🤷♂️

based off this, seems like her worst crimes were just being weird/cringe. which is like absolutely expected of a creative that grew up on the internet and made shows of the genre she has. shes fine man idk people cant just enjoy things

@@L_0v3ly_Elli3 no it wasn't. There was no r*pe. The first video the women consented and the man tied her up to save the baby. The other ones are just horror videos. Even if she had those for kink/fetish reasons there's nothing wrong with it just seems like she likes the idea of being tied up. I don't think people should be prying into her kinks/fetishes that's personal. This is just kinkshaming.

As an SA survivor who spent years being hurt, I felt the whole Angeldust Poison song spoke to me. Especially when he disassociated, he slid into a hyper-s-ual character. I felt that, I was that. It's rare that I see SA survivor who mirror my trauma responses, mainly Astarion and Angeldust. And it is good to see them in a positive light while STILL healing like Angeldust, because often times when they're still healing they get the Jennie in Forest Gump treatment and are turned into villains for turning on their hyper smexual self that is just a mask they wear for protection. After years of the same trauma you learn to just say yes to avoid the additional pain that comes with no, and I felt Viv did an amazing job at showing that.

SOO much of this is just "nothing burger" of info. So many of these are randos making mountains out of molehills. I didn't know Vivziepop "Lore" before, and what I just learned just gave me "average person" vibes I don't feel like any of it meant anything.
