I found this very interesting. There didn't seem to be mention of how excess folate consumption is dealt with by the body. Is it just excreted somehow ? And how is it connected to vitB12 levels? I have recently started a multivitamin containing 200mcgs methyl folate & 12 mcgms methylcobamin (at age 78.) Obviously I'll retest my levels of these at some point. I don't seem to be affected by the dna mutation mentioned. I did read a pubmed paper about women with a high folate level & low vitB12. Sorry, can't immediately find said paper. But maybe this could be covered in future podcasts? Thank you so much for the information !

Glad you liked it and thanks for the suggestion. Excess folate is eliminated through the typical routes like stool and urine eventually. When the folate is in the form of folic acid, it can, in some cases lead to problems with folate transport. Since folic acid cannot be used by the body (it has to be converted to the more active forms ), the transporters get filled with the unusable form.

Poison Control Centers have a treatment for excess Folic Acid. Simultaneous use of multivitamin and B complex vitamin, coupled with Bifido Acido die off due to gly-phosphatic acid disrupts the 5 stage FA metabolism. 1000mcg is a threshold.

I need methyl-folate. For next video, spinaltap folate deficiency grew common in clinical neurodystopia between 2001 and 2010. In Jan 1999, the FDA changed Folic Acid naming it, Folate. Glyphosphatic acid then entered the grain supply.
