In This Mod, What if things could be different? What if you could save her? This question plagued the minds of most people after finishing the first act of DDLC. Salvation goes on to answer this question. After narrowly avoiding one tragedy, the members of the club get into an accident. Monika is forced to stay at the hospital and Sayori has to take up the mantle of club president in her absence. However, as you grow closer to the other girls Monika has to realize a dark truth. I see Monika's seemingly cynical view of the world as nihilism of fate or rather anti-nihilism, I mean if I know that everything I do and will ever do has been determined and that we are just acting out these set of actions I would be pretty nihilistic too, however Monika demonstrates a willingness to break free of these determined course of action thus being anti-nihilistic. I think Monika showed to me what being a sentient AI would feel like if it were to be stuck in an endless ocean of data and numbers.

Not knowing if you even have free will, or where your creator will take you, seems the biggest concern to me. Weird how it can parallel and connect with our literal reality in terms of existential pondering, even as a painfully, hyperbolically meta work of fiction. I may not mind with what you describe...if, as someone like Monika in her reality somewhat similar to ours, variety, romance, entertainment, and change can still exist, new books to read, poems to write in their cases...and knowing existence may end naturally with human natural causes of aging, or only then to reach some afterlife, reincarnate, what have you.

I can relate to Monika. I do feel all the time I’m either not real or just part of a play. Once our time is up. We get sent to nothingness, stuck in a void forever. Then a new generation begins and ends up the same way, or we simply just forget what happened the last time. The thought of new being real or just a loop were we eventually either forget, or just become stuck forever. Monika has every right to be scared of a ‘fake reality’ I don’t know whether this is real or just a setup for something. I can’t help but worry of something similar to her. I hope someone can relate. Things that wouldve made more sense was that this game was only supposed to be a love dating game but monika made them go through what they did that wasnt even supposed to happen it would make sense if SHE was the one being abused,going through depression,self harm because it was all that she was *feeling* And it hard truth is about the game is that even if she did tell them the truth about it being all a game she couldnt because it would've fucked up the game itself No matter what they did to move forward it would be carved into their minds that nothing they do or say is REAL,the school itself is fake,the people they see is fake That would be a terribble way to live your life so their issues wouldnt have gone away no matter what and they would've been STUCK as teenagers forever going to school forever having these emotions that they couldve grew out of or changed omce they gotten OLDER their minds couldve been fully developed and they couldve continued to grow and learn and live not just that but it would've messed with thier personal psyching or whatever the fuck you call it. And no matter what monika did to keep us she can't stop us from aging and getting older in "reality" outside of that game cause no matter what *WE* would die at some point in life and we can't live OUR lives forever glued to a "game" talking to THEM it would destroy us as well mentally and physically We need to get out and etc in life and it would destroy OUR chances and goals that WE could've had in the REAL world like getting married or other things And at some point we might fall in love and move on with our lives and no i dont mean in love with monika but with someone in OUR world in reality And as we get older we grow out of things we might even stop playing that "game" So many things so many possibilities and reasons to why it just CAN'T happen or BE that way And because of the game they were PROGRAMMED to love US so even if we chosed one it would've effected ALL of the other girls even if they are now AWARE and try to move forward because that was the whole point of that game. Wich explains to why monika deleted herself And the thing that makes it harder for monika is that since shes in control she still and will never have an actual personal,intimate relationship with us Shell never truly get to know us due to the fact we cant write how we feel and text what we chosed or whatever in the game since it does that FOR you and you must choose from that game but your not the one who'se truly getting to answer them cause you simply dont have a CHOICE Like the whole YES or NO thing Why cant we just write for OURSELVES So yea...
