I heard Jimmy last Tuesday opening for Dr. John. He played acoustic, an old J-50. He did a Hank Williams tune, Black Mountain Rag, Doc Watson style, He finger-picked a couple of Mississippi John Hurt tunes and stepped over to the piano to play a couple of barrel house tunes. I've also heard him play bass in a bluegrass band, blues fiddle in a jug band, rock-a-billy lap steel and he's a super clawhammer banjo player. Jimmy's no one trick pony.

I've Loved this extraordinairy young Man since i first heard him perform the BEST version of a Robert Johnson Classic (Hellhound). He was then 12. (although Jimmys' voice would've told otherwise) So GREAT to hear him playing his own totally original tunes and playing as good as ever. I Love yer style Jimmy. Dont let the dick-heads get you down. You are surrounded by much Love! (.,,,not by idiots as below) talk soon Jayme 107.3fm

Nice suggestions thanks ! However, I have a hard time finding a another young blues player that matches Bowskill vocally. Don't you think ?

I laugh at all the "bigshots" criticizing this guy. No one has or ever will know or care who YOU are...your jealousy is apparent and embarrassing. This video alone has been viewed almost 24,000 times!! Get used to it, this guy's good, and you're nobody!

@thestrugglewithin So, you are telling that Les Paul himself, that played blues himself, actually should been playing jazz instead? Because he made a jazz guitar according to you? You can play all kinds of music on all kinds of guitars, you can even play jazz on a explorer or razorbacks! The Gibson ES guitars are more for jazz, but they are great rock and blues guitars too.
