Halo's grown too big. You can't be a creative studio with too many cooks in the kitchen. Think about those early days of Bungie and how close-knit those guys were. There's little to no passion left these days, especially if it's temp devs churning along to the beat of the higher-ups demands. Think Star Wars and how it was George's vision or Marvel's first Iron Man with Jon Favreau you can't replicate the magic of those early days by throwing money at it that's why Star Wars, Marvel, and sadly Bungie aswell now have gone downhill sure they're still making profit but it's gone corporate and it's just not the same anymore.

@@KevinKoolxit does suck the whole campaign team got fired. They were the only ones who didn’t deserve it. They were locked up away from everyone for years and had no testing or feedback from anyone outside campaign. And you know what they did an amazing job for what they had and dealt with! Especially the fact it was an open world campaign for the first time. Yea the Biome never changed but wasn’t their fault. They had little budget movement. My second cousin was a contractor for 18 months and she worked on campaign. Despite the toxic and locked up environment for the campaign team, she loved every second of it. I’m really worried about alll these new people and I hate to say it but theirs to many “woke” idiots trying to put it in the game, idk why devs can’t keep their personal life and feelings out of a game. We are going to be holding are breath on this one for the next 2 years

It is more than a name change though. 343 is fundamentally not the 343 who made 4, 5, Infinite, etc. This name change is just reflective of that fact, the fact it's not 343 anymore.

We'll see what this new team can do, but again, they have an uphill battle to win me back whether that's fair or not.

I think you're reading too much into the 's' at the end of Studios. 343 was "343 Industries" not "343 Industry" too. Now, I'm sure there will still be external studios getting some outsourced work, but I don't think it literally means multiple 'studios' as part of Halo Studios.

To be fair, Halo Studios is using contacting work instead of hiring devs to stay. Basically rather than hiring 300 devs, they hire small studios and developers to make a game or few and then they're replaced with new and fresh minds when the contract has ended. So technically he's right.

Just be very careful because we have Melissa Elizabeth and Casey they seem very ideological driven, and the last thing I want is the forcing their politics into Halo and it’s getting pretty annoying time and time again it seems like people like this. Supposedly the engine had info being kept from 343 by bungie when it changed hands. Idk how accurate that is but its a rumor. Regardless the engine waa a clusterfuck and i know nothing about coding but i do know that if a tool is outdated, you can alter it only so much before it begins to fall apart. Not saying the software did that perse but everyrhing im reading is suggesting its radically more complicated than modern engines and they COULD sort it out but the time itd take to do it would mean nothong new when they already have a great engine in microsofts sphere of influence thats easy to port assets to.

Switching from Blam!/Slipspace to UE 5 fit MS’ business model better. UE is widely used across the industry. They won’t have to train their contractors on dev tools but instead will be able hire for specific skills sets. Not sure how it will impact their dev cycle.

I get what you're saying, but I think most studios call themselves "Studios" even if it's one team, like "Bungie Studios." That being said, I actually don't know if having a bunch of projects is ideal for Halo. I like Halo being a big thing that encompasses everything in one big package (campaign, co-op, firefight, etc.). Like, I want to play as an Elite in the real Halo games, but I have a feeling they will make a smaller spin off and say, "if you want to play as an Elite, go play the spin off by yourself while your friends play real Halo."

Words of the wise. 343i is technically no more but Halo Studios still has Vet Staff still in there working. They are not all gone but in numbers still there. The issue I have seen with the Community is just not healthy and Im happy others have addressed it like you and Hidden. Halo is yet to be "Saved" yes the art direction sure is saved but that doesnt mean the games they will make will be good. The next halo will look so beautiful but the story can be a nightmare. We cannot say anything official on this Halo Studios until they give us a game. It is right to worry and be optimistic but it isnt healthy to say its good because looks.
