​@@User-q8d9jlearn the law. It was simply not defamation because the police considered that she was just telling HER side of the story and April members told theirs. That's not a defamation because it's simply a matter of "she said this she said that". That's why they lost, later Chaewon called out the police for being biased and then opened the case again, they found Hyunjoo DID lie about chaewon dating the manager and Chaewon closed the case because that's what she wanted to prove.

At this point if either side isn't going to show that much proof or claims to prove that happened cause remember Hyunjoo had sometimes lied especially about the hitting (and even switching it up), and some saw people though each other lies. So unless anything ground breaking is going to come out on either side (something similar like Mina and Jimin) it just going to be heresay and by people conflicting statements at the end it's hard to say if Hyunjoo was right or April was right but if people want to boycott her it's y'all choice but I am not supporting her either just netural.

No. She was only cleared because her law firm did everything under the law so under the legal system she did nothing more than "sharing" her SIDE story. April shared theirs. It was simply a she said he said case so it's not actually defamation. She did get "charged" with one of the lias she said about chaewon dating the manager. It was confirmed by the police in 2022 that it was a lie and Chaewon dropped the charges then because she was satisfied with the result.
