He's being pessimistic by focusing on the thorns instead of on the beauty of the flowers. He addresses someone. He's asking questions to them. He lets them know that he saw them enter his garden. Warmth is real? A strange tangent. He tells them he wants to hold the flower, because its warmth is "real." So HE is cold then. Or warm in a false way if that makes sense. I think he has made himself a false and sickening warmth. He doesn't want the person to smile, because that smile is not genuine. He can't trust in them, and because he can't open himself to anyone, he can't feel closer to them. No name to call him, he says...well, calling someone by their name, or nickname is a sign of closeness. You've got to somewhat know a person to call them by their name. He wears a mask to hide what he considers his bad side. But he says he still wants them. He could also be referring to himself, in that he can't give up that "flawed" part of himself, even though it hurts him. There's a sudden shift in the narrator's mind. He actually plans to show his true self. I assume some time has passed. There's something strange here... because while he does now want to show what he considers his full, authentic self, he grows more sorrowful :( He is afraid that he won't be able to show his true face for long. He even calls himself ugly. It doesn't clarify whether he means his appearance, or possibly, the "ugly" side of him (as he mentioned earlier). We see what he's so afraid of. He's afraid of being abandoned. Then, he changes his mind again. He will hide himself. He will grow a replica of the person he's spoken about instead; this replica will come in the form of a flower. This flower will remind him of that person, that person who is "beauty within loneliness." I believe the loneliness he's referring to is himself. This person is the beauty that holds a place within his heart.
