That's so good!! I started reading the Bible for myself just 2 years ago after being a christian for my entire life, not truly understanding the importance of being in the word. But It's become so close to my heart and I love learning about it and seeing Jesus in everything! I just wanted to encourage you to keep reading and letting the Holy Spirit lead you there, it will be so worth it! Praying for you :)

When Sadie started talking about the influencer she follows on Instagram and how this influencer refers to God as a female and it makes her feel a lot better. It reminded me of that song by Ariana Grande “God is a woman” which is just not true but I notice that women have this huge desire to feel seen. But we don’t need that to be put on a pedestal. Everyone deserves respect but God is who we follow and he is our father. This is a touchy topic and I’m not entirely sure how to go about it but I’m willing to have a discussion with anyone who knows what I’m trying to say 😂
@Sarah-ih1pj2 жыл бұрын
I get what you’re saying! It always confused me because even by the world’s standards (which is all about self identification), God identifies as masculine using “He/Him” pronouns Iike all the time so I don’t understand why the world wouldn’t use his self identified pronouns. Also Jesus, who the Bible says is God manifest in flesh, came into a male human form, which seems a little significant. Not to mention- GOD IS NOT A HUMAN lol, God is spirit. He is much more complicated than mere human biology lol so this a really silly concept that God is a human gender. Just my thoughts 💭
@ariellec96762 жыл бұрын
@@Sarah-ih1pj I am in total agreement with you and I think you said that perfectly! I think Ariana was also trying to say that she was a god in the song because of the power she has over the man. But beyond her song I've seen so many people try and refer to God as a woman and it's just not the case. Have you ever heard of the movie the shack? Well in that movie there are 3 different people who play God, Son and Holy spirit and their is a woman who plays God. This had a lot of controversy coming out but I now can see why. It's clear as day that God refers to himself in a more masculine way. I think people try to shape God into who they want him to be because it meets their own desires and that's just not the right thing to do. 😭👏
@mevu39862 жыл бұрын
@@ariellec9676 I understand what you all are saying and I do agree that God is referred to as a Father in the bible & Jesus is also a male human being, so we should use the “pronouns” they claim/present to us. but about the movie, The Shack, I think why in some scenes God the father was played by a woman is because God the father in the movie somewhat wanted to have more of a motherly nature in those particular scenes. There are also other scenes where God the father is played by a man, I think it was because in another set of particular scenes, He wanted to portray a more fatherly figure. So I think in the movie, they somewhat more of presented “God the Father” as “God the Parent” in order to be more comforting/supportive to the particular needs of Mack (the guy who entered God’s home/heaven in the movie) and be more effective to his healing journey. Not arguing or anything, just sharing my observation about the movie. God bless!

With each time you mention Barabas, my body heaves with a cry so deeply internal. How sorry and repented I am! Been a believer my entire life, been saved since a teen, baptized and still got off the path over the years many times. All while acknowledging I’m still a disciple but I need to put more effort into study and communion with God so I become less of me and more of Him.

I thought of this while listening: The first sin was rooted in not believing the Truth!!! Eve goes to the serpent and says God’s truth, yet the serpent tells her it is surely not true. Then, she believes the serpent and she eats of the tree. She denied the truth of God and instead believed the truth of the serpent. We do that too, just like you were saying. We deny the truth of God and we listen to the enemy. I thought it was so interesting that this paralleled with the first sin. Thank you Sadie for the message!

Thank you Sadie, for this powerful message. I struggle often with seeing so many beautiful, fulfilled lives on social media and comparing what I have to others and feeling like I come up short so often. But that is the lie. I have so many blessings and things to be grateful for, and it is the truth that Jesus gave His life for us all and that His love is greater than any fear, any worldly power, and any "my truth" that whispers in our ears and tries to speak louder. The lion, Jesus, roars louder than any worldly beast and yet does not need to roar to overpower evil. Bless you and your family, Sadie, in Jesus's name!

In a world where society “the majority” determines the truth as defined in sources like Urban dictionary and even from other people (in forms of rumor, slander, and gossip), it is absolutely IMPERATIVE we as Christ believers fact check everything for The Truth through The Word of God. It may not be the easiest or the most popular approach, but for the sake of The Truth, The Word offers the clearest views.

Live His Truth “ Isa 59:14 Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for “truth has stumbled in the public squares”, and uprightness cannot enter. Isa 59:15 “Truth is lacking”, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. The LORD saw it, and it displeased him that “there was no justice”. Isa 59:16 He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him. Isa 59:17 He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in zeal as a cloak.

1 Corinthians 14 34. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36. What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37. If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD... .
