Holy smoke brother thanks for sharing this personal story..I play my self for 29 years broke my hand twice and lost all speed and synchronisation in picking kept up with practice and have speed up again...and my half speed is Steve via style...wishing you all the best in 2019 and you will do it brother...

Hang in there. I played classical guitar (and other styles) since the age of 8 until recently (arthritis and trigger finger issues prevent me from playing much at my age now). But I used to attend and perform at guitar masterclasses, and one of the many great professional guitarists I met was David Leisner whose playing was seriously sidelined by focal dystonia and he managed to come back from it and is considered an expert on the malady and how to overcome it as a guitarist. Google his name and you will find articles on him and his recovery. Anyway, I hope you manage to do likewise. I wish you the best!

@@TheStrongBoyz19 At my age now (57) I am fine with not being able to play guitar now - I had a great run with it over the decades, and I can still play piano, so no worries. But at your young age, I hope you are able to find a way through this focal dystonia malady and emerge playing as strongly as ever!
