I can't keep a man because I get bored with the relationship process. I get tired of being accountable to another person, I get tired of concerning myself with their issues and concerns, and I get tired of the performative existence that is associated with romantic relationships. I don't care about their extended family, because it takes every ounce of strength to sustain my biological family relationships. I want to come and go as I please, I want to sleep and wake when I want. I want to do whatever I please without answering to anyone and I want to have sex only when I feel like it. I am a self-validator, so I don't GAF what anyone thinks about me unless my paycheck is involved. Marriage and relationships are not for ALL women. Some of us are happy and quite fulfilled alone. Solange is lucky enough to realize this early in life. It took me middle age to realize that I do not have to confirm and I am so much happier for it.

I don’t see her as a problematic person. What she goes through is hella normal. I know so many men and women who has gone through these trials and tribulations in relationships. On top of that she and her sister had been exposed to Hollywood and we know what that does to child stars. She’s been under pressure all of her life, but she knows who she and it isn’t a people pleaser. Where a lot of people see problem, I see healing and strength.
