You know, after watching this I kind of understand why Eugene was so upset and looked angry in their announcement video. Eugene shared a very important part of himself. His clothing is how he identifies himself and how he expresses that identity. It took a lot of trust and love for him to open that part of his life. So imagine how he must have felt finding out what Ned did and realizing that he shared an intimate piece of himself with someone who was actively lying to and betraying him. That's really difficult and I hope Eugene is doing okay.

It was something I noticed about Eugene's commentary about the other Try Guys' styles: there are bits he nitpicks but overall he claims every one of them has a trademark and a bod that could KILL a look if they tapped into it. I've absolutely loved the 'Dress Like' series bc they develop a persona with each episodes outfit choice, but in this one, you could really tell that Ned, Zach & Keith all were feeling themselves in Eugene's clothes. They thought they'd look dorky, but you can see their confidence! In something as simple as all black clothes, they all tried something that was out of their comfort zone, but that they felt confident in. That's what clothes can do. It doesn't matter if a particular piece looks fierce, it's how it makes you feel to then what you project that makes an outfit fierce! Also love Eugene teaching them things about fashion but in a way they're comfortable with & can understand. You guys keep pushing the boundaries of gender norms like the fierce bitches you are!

I think that's what I like most about this video. It was similar to Queer Eye where just changing something like the way clothes fit them makes them look better but also view themselves a lot less harshly than they do. This video gave them all a new way to look at themselves and a new sense of confidence that we didn't get in the other _we dress like X_ video. I really liked this approach because while we all knew that Eugene has a cool factor much greater than the other Try Guy's this put a nice spin on it showing that they all could have that cool factor, they're not as limited as they think they are and honestly as _we_ probably think they are.

I personally find makeup uncomfortable and annoying, and find the "prettier" you are, the more uncomfortable you are (heels, shapewear, tight clothes, altering the way you move so you don't flash, having to constantly check your face/clothes to make sure they are right....). But each to their own.
