I love Zach’s playful fashion sense.
@yulana9902 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the sections are a mess already! Me and my sister always have to shop in the childrens section cause we are so short (4'11), and also shop in the mens section for tops with more nerdy prints on them or just for bigger oversized outfits which the women section usually doesnt have. Then the womens section for nice colour usage and more aesthetic outfits. There should be no shame in going to the "wrong" section, since all sections never really match every person of that gender or age haha! Hope you someday feel comfortable enough aswell to go to the womens section, or maybe useonline shops like H&M instead to just try them at home ;) (thats what I do woth childrens clothes lol)

@@yulana990 Oh absolutely, I totally agree! Zach dresses like most people with chronic pain and chronic health issues. We no longer give a singular shit about anything uncomfortable. Our bodies are struggling enough with energy and pain management, so comfy is where it's at. Mismatched soft things are it. We tend to stick to things that make us happy (fun patterns in Zach's case), because they bring a little joy to counteract the frustration and physical pain of getting dressed. You roll out of bed and throw on the easiest clothes to get into that won't aggravate your body throughout the day. I love Zach's wardrobe because it is joyful and cozy. I envy it.

I relate so strongly to Zach's wardrobe, my main criteria for choosing clothes is how soft they are "life is painful enough, so let's get fluffy" - we need that on a fluffy hoodie for the chronic pain brigade!

Eugene's energy in his outfit is absolutely killing me, I love that this outfit just evoked Sexy Gyrating in his mind... also "kpop band if they did an ironic american band look... what do american's wear? stupid shit." made me laugh so hard. Ned embodying the hipster vibes so frighteningly well and just totally becoming his own character was great. And everyone progressively getting more mugs is also cracking me up

Ned's comment as Zach "I love maggie" is sending me. Somehow even when he's supposed to be impersonating another white guy in a relationship he thinks that the relationship is the main personality trait?? I'm not too familiar with the intricacies of Zach's relationship/persona but I don't typically associate him as a "wife guy"

Largely in part because of Zach talking about ankylosing spondylitis, I finally saw a doctor again about my chronic back pain, and that led to me getting diagnosed with osteoarthritis at 29. I'm happy in ways, because now I'm finally validated in feeling that my body doesn't function the same as others my age, and I finally know what's wrong, and it's not in my head. But it's also hard to not feel depressed in that there's no cure, only ways to manage it, and it's pain that I can't ignore anymore, and I'm forced to actually look after myself. Anyway, this video helps. Because Zach is right. Why squeeze myself into jeans I can't move in? Why waste time feeling uncomfortable when I'm already in constant discomfort? So I'm gonna hit the op shops and just find the comfiest most fun clothes. Because he's right. I just want to smile and feel ok.

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 8 years old I’m 33 now and this comment was mighty relatable
@karibaxter53302 жыл бұрын
A lot of docs will tell you that's it's in your head because they can't see or feel your pain. Maybe they get it from 'signs and symptoms'. Glad you found a medical pro who validated your physical pain & diagnosed the osetoarthritis, but, as someone who also lives with chronic pain, don't fixate on it. It'll mess you up in the head if you focus on it too much. Also, check out sleep number mattresses if you have a tough time getting out of bed in the morning due to arthritis pain. SNB's C2 mattress made a huge difference for me sleep quality wise. Quality shoes also make a big difference pain management wise. Right now I'm all about Hoka.

Seeing this, is the first moment I appreciate how totally intertwined my chronic illness is with my style, & vice verse. Like Zack, my style is different one year to the next- & I’m now realising it has a direct positive correlation with my health, function, symptoms, treatment. What I can wear walking is very different to what I can wear in a wheelchair. What I feel comfortable wearing when I’m on steroids is night & day to when I need re-feeding. Even down to whether I can do buttons independently, or need something loose to hide but still be accessible to a central line. Thank you, Zack, for your vulnerability in taking us into your closet & style. It’s a vulnerable & intimate moment for anyone- but just like Eugene spoke of the compounding layer of his style & sexuality, chronic/serious/terminal illness &/or disability/impairment is inextricably entwined with personal style & its accessibility. There’s such a heightened sense of vulnerability when the clothing & style choices hold a body which both brings great suffering and is rejected so vehemently by society. _Especially_ for young people, and as a woman I confidently say- especially for men, who are expected to be physically strong, reliable, dependable, & totally independent. I’ll be seeing my own style & closet in a whole new light, & I feel inspired to ask my closet “What do I need from you today?”. Thank you Zack, sincerely.

I feel like Keith has a super strong fashion style lately and it's "dad on vacation to a beach island." This is not a critique. I love his shirts.
@can_O_beans2 жыл бұрын
I think Keith has a style. It's not as pronounced but he wears a lot of tees with a button up on top (sometimes patterned). He likes a lot of pastel and light colors as opposed to neutrals or super bold colors. He goes for smaller prints over large print patterns. It kind of gives me tourist vibes lol. I'll have to look at Ned's stuff again but I guess Ned doesn't have a noticable style due to being a dad and being the blank canvas lol.

Zach is actually one of the few people who most closely resembles the loud fun vaguely gender neutral stoner chic look I’m trying to continually manifest and I love seeing it every time. The biggest difference though is like I can’t stack as many layers and he always has the best layers/jackets 🥲

I love how Zach's style has evolved. No offense but he used to dress like a poor college kid still. He went into a little hipster vibe and then like most of us in our 30's he started to really channel his inner Gen z child. It is very 90's very Y2K. I love it for him. I forgot to add that I love his collection crocs! They are always fire and he pulls them off. I imagine someone who is constant pain does not want to wear clothes that are uncomfortable.

I don't know a single 30-year old who tries to channel their inner Gen Z child because I don't know a single 30-year-old who had a Gen Z childhood. All the Millenials I know pity Gen Z and feel bad for them, no one wants to be them. God knows I wouldn't want to be in my early 20s again.
