Honestly when you are on dating apps your job should not be to trick the other person into thinking your are more attractive (taking off your glasses when you wear them all the time) you should be honest about who you are and what you do on regular day. This whole thing was just so ridiculous and unfair -- Guy has an attractive photo with general appeal: "This tells me nothing about you." Guy has a photo that shows his specific interests: "This is going to turn anyone who isn't into this off. It's bad." Guy has a photo that displays a specific interest of general appeal: "A lot of people are into this, it doesn't stand out enough." THEY JUST CAN'T WIN!!! I liked all their profiles.

Dr. Jess is extremely annoying. She is really looking too deeply into each picture. I like guys with glasses, and I really don't mind when guys look off camera. It gives them a little more mystery. I think the problem is that she's both. She had some valuable input to contribute - like hard data about social patterns and observations about what an outside viewer may not recognize. But she diluted that good input and devalued her own credibility by constantly mixing in personal biases and preferences - like "any food in a box is unhealthy" and "that dog looks like it's being abused."

Lady, I don’t care if you have a PhD in Tinder, you clearly don’t understand the human variable behind it. So what if probability goes down if someone is looking away from the camera or is wearing glasses? To me, those pics of Zach were really nice, and as someone who has been wearing glasses for 28 years, his argument has merit. Hers doesn’t. It’s downright ableist. “Here, your medical device that makes life a level playing field for you is unattractive, get rid of it.” Would she say that if Zach or Keith were in wheelchairs? I do have to agree with you on the glasses part as I think if someone wore glasses all the time, like you, Zach, Keith or myself, it would be worse to see them not wearing glasses on their profile and then see them in glasses in real life. As for the "not understanding the human variable" part, I think most people saying that, and things like it, missed the part where the try guys told her to be "incredibly critical". I'm sure someone who studies this stuff almost every day completely understands human variable that there is never going to be an exact formula for success on Tinder, Christian Mingle, etc. So when instructed to be as critical as she was, of course she is going to go with the odds and give advice based on what will give the highest likelihood of matches. Sure, she might have gone a bit far in some areas, like the glasses part and the food parts on Keith, the rest of it was just her doing as she was instructed.

A nutritionist is not a regulated job title (unlike dietician which is a regulated and restricted title). Literally, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist without having to ever have studied nutrition in university or even high school. If her mom is a nutritionist and not a dietician, she obviously has not had the proper education or training to make appropriate dietary recommendations.
