The late great Restyles in the sexiest parody ever. Tubes concerts from that era were simply incredible. Saw them over 20 times, at least 4 with Re. Smoky voice sassy and sultry, as a teenager you might have come into a Tubes show wanting to date a cheerleader when you left you wanted a bad girl in a leather jacket. Godspeed princess.

As I look back I start to realize just how much theatre was involved with a lot of bands back then I thought it was just a rock show but in my older age realize it was theatre, and the Mothers that started a lot of that type of stage craft

I had gone to The Tubes concert back then with my younger brother and his friends. he was really into them and I had never heard of them at the time. We were on the front row and during one song they dragged me out of the audience onto the stage; my brother and his friends went crazy! Great memories.

Maybe not quite. I saw the Tubes in 1978 at a 2,000 seat venue. Outside the actual theater there was a large lobby and concession area. The opening act was the Pat Travers Band. They were so loud that even in the lobby they were deafening. I had to wait outside until they were done or I would have been deaf before the Tubes even hit the stage. I can honestly say the Tubes were not the loudest band that night. Oh, and btw, Queensryche were the loudest band I ever saw. Glad you enjoyed the Tubes!

Great song, sheer brilliance in my opinion. I saw them in 79 at the Roxy a small venue in Hollywood. I was in the 2nd row. No theatrics or gimmicks. I was so Mesmerized by the keyboardist,. he was working like a mad scientist on this switchboard type looking synth. Pulling and plugging his patches. It Sounded cool. The music and musicianship was incredible, they were very much on top of there game then too. I m going to see them in July in Bug Bear Lake - can't wait! They, like me are older and I know they won't perform this song but I hope they do? Wonder how many of the original members are in the group today? I Saw other recent live videos on KZbin , wasn't overly impressed . But it's the Tubes! -A blast from my past. Great to see this video!

I can't believe I never quite got this song. When first I heard it as a teen in the late 70s, I just thought the chorus was like in ML's Paradise By The Dashboard Light, but the point is obviously: what we cannot have, we only want more...even if we didn't want it in the first place.

A 400...I owned a 350 @ the time when a 'lady friend' took me to This Show. We laughed and enjoyed all of it....and the 350 later ended up under my spouse's tush (Not the same woman, but...) for quite awhile. After the 180 scooter she was riding, she loved it. We later both rode up to Laguna Seca to catch some GP bike races; she on the 350, me on a Vision 550. "You let your wife ride a 2 stroke!?" was a common comment... Sure; she wasn't prone to getting f'd up and trying to show someone how 'hot' she could ride....or attempt to... Bikes in SF at the time was the way to go...get anywhere, park on a sidewalk, 'snake-dance' through traffic... We lived in the Mission, I worked 'south of the slot', and loved being in The City. Left in '90 when the 'Dot.com' boom started to turn the place into the strangled and pricey puddle it's become. The only thing we missed was the food....and some of the people we left behind... We've kept the memories... ;)
